I'm getting a bit boggled, shopping for some new sights for the Sr1911 that I just purchased.  Everywhere I go, there are sights available, but as often as not, they specify, Springfield, Kimber, etc..  I'm not sure if any of those will fit a Ruger?  Is the dovetail for most 1911's not the same?  I don't want to have to restructure a new sight, just befcause it was made for a specific brand.

Tru Glo TFOs are my normal choice for my carry guns, or Hi Viz fiber optics front and rear if not a night sight.  Neither company identifies the SR1911s specifically.

Any help would be appreciated.  I just don't care for the Novaks that came with the pistol.

Thanks for any feedback you can offer.

Many 1911s do not use standard dovetail cuts for sights, Kimber, Para just to name a couple.
