I found a company by the name of MAS Defense.   I have read several reviews and found that all people that have purchased from them seemed to be very pleased.  I spoke with the owner on the phone and he is very courteous and customer service oriented. Their prices seem to be good and from what I have read, good quality. I decided to give them a try.  Since this is my first build, I didn't want to spend a small fortune so this seems to be a good route.  The following links are the parts that I have already ordered...

These are the other items that I am going to buy to complete the upper........

The other item will be a BCM Mod 44 Ambi charging handle which I have found on ebay for $67.46

I feel that I will be happy with this upper and haven't decided on a lower yet.  I would certainly love to buy a stripped lower and build it myself, but I simply don't have the experience to assemble one.  Yet.    Hopefully if someone has a good link on the assembly process, I would be game to give it a try.  I have some mechanical skills.  Not great, but some.

For the lower just watch 3-4 YouTube videos and I believe brownells also has a video series. When you get stuck just rewatch the video and you will be gtg.

I promise, YOU CAN DO IT! It's really not ba at all

Best thing I did was to lay all of my parts out in order. Put the right pins and detents with the right parts to start with and it will be easy. Much better than working with a bunch of mixed parts.

Thanks for the tip.  Ok, gonna give it a try.  I wanted to buy my own stock and buffer tube anyway.  Thank you!

You know, I didn't even check. I just based my purchase on all of the good reviews I read. There was only one semi-negative review and that was only because the barrel showed some cut marks. The guy that wrote the review went on to say how accurate the barrels are.

I spoke to the owner Mario again today. Called him to ask a few questions about some parts.  Out of curiosity, I asked him about the warranty.  He said they have no written warranty on their items but he will stand behind them 100% if there is a failure.  And that, I do believe.  This gentleman answers the phone when you call, if by chance he doesn't get to the call, he immediately calls you right back.  As I said before, he is very customer service oriented and that goes a long way in this competitive world that we live in.

I have been looking over this company their prices are descent, but for the dollar ICE Arms is better pricing.

Also I want to point out the majority of their barrels are 1X9 twist so nothing special there, actually in my eyes that hurts that company.

I don't see the hype here bud, good luck with your build.

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. This is my first build so considering that I didn't want to spend a small fortune, I thought I would give it a try. I certainly in no means want to sound like I was trying to be rude or anything like that so if I did, please accept my sincere apologies. Was just trying to share some info that I found.
