New article featuring Rock Island Armory 10mm's in American Handgunner Jan./Feb. 2016 .  Story appears on page 60 of this issue, and it's worth checking-out for those considering a 1911 from these folks.  Several models are fired with 2" groups at 28 yards [yes, that's right:  84 feet]  being the norm.  Author also test-fired the 'The Big Rock' Hunter, a six-inch slider.  Should make an excellent 'hog stopper'.

The Rock Island Armory 10's have been pretty good from those I have communicated with that bought them.  Some had magazines that showed ftf or locked open issue.

However those could have been ammo impulse related.  Decent priced 1911 style pistols with fairly good chamber support...

I have a photo of my first attempt at grouping my 6" Pro Ultra Match. Four-shot string under 2" at 50yards and three of the four were under 1". SweartoGod.

Shot from a rest--but that was a rolled up jacket on the rear rack of the 4 wheeler--not like it was a Ransome Rest or anything.

Amazed and I see this as a real bargain. Bought from Bud's at about 300 under list.

I was looking at the Glock or the Rock for a high cap 10MM, I would assume from this conversation that you would go with the Rock.
