I would consider buying a Glock 20 if I can shoot .40s through it. I don't see why it would not work...like shooting .38s in a 357 platform. Can anyone educate me with some facts on this?

Won't work unless you buy a .40 barrel and recoils spring for it.

Pistol cartridges headspace on the case mouth. The shorter .40 case wouldn't stop soon enough to let the firing pin strike it correctly.

Thank you Montanalon. While waiting I checked Lone Wolf.coms site. Sure enough, they sell a .40 conversion barrel. BTW, I wonder why I don't see a 9mm conversion barrel at Lone Wolf? It seems like it would work just my G22 .40 to 9mm conversion. I got the 6 inch (extended) and ported/compensated barrel. It is fun and low cost to shoot. It also looks really intimidating with the weapon light/laser and 33 round mag.

I meant to state: I have a Glock 22 with a 9mm conversion barrel. It is fine. I think it would be even better if I could shoot 10mm, .40 cal & 9mm on the glock platform.

I'm sure it is a demand thing. Most guys that have a 10mm Glock likely already have a 9mm Glock so there probably aren't many that would need a conversion.

I have seen a video were a guy successfully pulled it off. The extractor had enough tension to hold the cartridge on the breach face. This would be a fluke in my book as these cartridges are meant to head space on the rim cause severe reliability problems.

I have used 40's in my glock 20 on many occasions with no harm done to anything but the targets.  As a matter of fact I have used 40's in all my 10mm's flawlessly   I do not recommend this to try in your gun......But I wanted to know
