Holy Cow are things bad there.  The people are starving and dying from lack of even the basic medicines.

ABC plays it down but its the climax of unrestrained Socialism.  For example, the hospitals are "Free' but because the bureaucracy is so big and everyone is skimming off their share, no medicines make it to the Hospitals.  They even have to buy the gown the doctor wears.  By the time whatever they buy passes through so many hands that take up to 50%, whatever from food to penicillin is all but gone before it hits the streets.

Catch it if you can.  Its worse than Africa.  You'd think it was Somalia the people are so thin.  I knew it was bad but dang seeing the video is still shocking and to think, they're sitting on the largest one country oil supply in the world.

Keep in mind, all that oil, first thing the socialist did was kick us Americans the hell out as the government nationalized the oil industry.  I was in the industry back then.  Use to deal with what they then called CORVIP which was the buying company for their oil industry.  It was always staffed with simply beautiful girls.  I can't help but think what they're going through now.

You are dead nuts on.  They interviewed a teacher who's family is starving and said at any given day 30% of their teachers in schools don't even show up to work.  They're standing in food lines because they can't afford the black market food.  The teacher and her husband at dinner eat every other day so their son could have dinner and I'm talking one little tiny bowl of food.  Damn.  The cities even the capital there now make those tin roof villages straight out of the 1800s with donkey's and chickens in the road look good.

I watched it. Simply sad what a government can and does do to it's own people.

I had another thought too. If I were 20-30yrs younger, I would be interviewing women to sponsor to get them out of there. I saw more gorgeous desperate women on that show than I've seen anywhere here in one place.

What they have going on there is horrific. Women getting their tubes tied so they cannot have more kids. Parents leaving their kids with orphans homes. No food. Apparently if you have money you can eat there.

Dogs, cats other pets become food.

What a socialist shithole. Thank you Chavez and your buddy Maduro.

They said that the store shelves "appear well stocked".....but they lack basic daily essential staples.

And the prices.......400 Bolivars ($40) for 100gm of cheese.

Imagine that?  $40 for 3.5 ounces of cheese in a country they eat cheese on everything.

I wish we could send all these protestors down there for about a year..... little sumbitches would be converting to conservatism in the droves and singing Trumps praises.

I saw or read somewhere they were having to leave the country to buy food.  Exactly what the progressivies would like to happen to us.

That's interesting.  I wonder what they are buying it with?  Nobody is taking their inflation ridden currency right now which way more a problem than the price of oil.

Unfortunately what I expect to happen there is going to be like Argentina when it crashed.  They'll elect a conservative or depose the current guy then first thing he will do is is either print new money or devalue their currency by at least 50% effectively robbing every savings in the country, which yep, damn sure is what the socialist in the US want to do.  Worse, the lure of "Free Stuff" will have them repeat the same thing until the figure out nothings free.

Really is sad.

No one has the standard of living that we have here in the US. Most people forget that.

It is if the only reason you're getting them tied is because you wouldn't be able to feed any children you might have!
