They have been legal since 2013 here in Texas.   In 2015 the state went back and passed legislation to preempt local ordinances concerning automatic knives.   I have been considering this one prices are starting to drop on them

That seems like a pretty good price too.

Good deal, I'm really interested in your impression and review of it. Kershaw makes a good quality knife at a very responsible price. I have a few Kershaw blades and I have never had an issue.

Looks like a nice knife.

I carried a Protech Swat auto (and a few other autos I sold)  for a while but I now prefer flippers since the small buttons on autos I found were a pain to get to in a hurry.

Awh, cut it out, you are making my delima that much tougher to deal with; your making me green... lol. I used to think PA was a fairly conservative state. Not so much regarding automatics. Looks like my little Launch 4 is heading back to Utah.

Here in Texas they passed the law on automatics making them legal to own and carry. Some Texas cities passed local laws against them. The Texas legislature went back to work and  overode local laws against automatic knives.

I'm like 6 miles from the Texas state line. I'm thinking I need to move.

I wonder if there is any data on how many mass knifings are committed with automatic knives? Knifings??? Is that a word? It's a tool, and ease of operation should not legislated away....

now they just need to take that last step.....Constitutional carry. I hardly ever leave the house without a carry pistol these days.

Texas is a special place in many ways. Enjoy your freedoms. PA is debating constitutional carry as we speak, but with our wing nut Governor even if the House and Senate pass it, will he sign the legislation?

Let me preface this by saying that I am not Texas bashing.

The only State in the Union that is a stand alone Republic,

it IS a special place.

I was surprised to find that Texas is not the most gun-friendly State,

and you guys are facing the same dilemma that has ruined states like Arizona;

a huge influx of liberals who talk the talk, but who don't want to walk the walk

when it comes down to their own wallets and quality of life.

Texas needs some border control of its own to keep out liberals,

or in 10 or 20 years it will be more like Washington or Oregon

rather than the Republic of Texas of old.

Well I'm legal again. That little automatic is on its way back to the Distributor. I'm still not happy about this. I'm going to replace it with an Esee Izula with micarta grip panels. Not the same cool factor, but a nice small fixed blade with decent steel. As soon as PA gets its head out of its a**, I'll order another...maybe the one like yours...lol!
