Having a hard time deciding on a brace for my first pistol build any help would be great. Here is what I have so far:

Upper Receiver: Billet A3
Barrel Length: 7.5"
Barrel Finish: Stainless Steel
Twist Rate: 1:7
Chamber: .223/5.56 Wylde
M4 Feed Ramps: Yes
Muzzle Device: Linear Compensator
Gas System Length: Pistol
Gas Block Diameter: 0.750"
Handguard: Pistol Length, Free Floating
Bolt Carrier Assembly Included: Yes
Charging Handle: Extended Tactical Latch

Picked up a polymer lower but after research don't think I'll go polymer on a pistol build, picked up a Anderson Lower...

Here are a few that I have been looking at:
SB Tactical PDW braceSB
Shockwave blade (appears to be the most popular and one of the cheapest)
Strike Industries Viper PDW stock
MAXIM DEFENSE CQB PISTOL PDW BRACE
SB TACT AR PISTOL BRACE SOB BLK

Any suggestions for a nice brace would help.
Thanks guys and gals,
Kye

SBM4 Brace

Just put one of these on my AR15 Pistol. It fits very tight on mine so it stays put. especially nice cheek weld.

The strike industries is a stock, not a brace, so steer clear of that or your in NFA waters.

I am working on a 9mm build and just picked up a Gear Head Works Tailhook.

I'm loving it! little hard to find right now though.  I  got the gen 1, but the gen 2 is looking sweet as well.

I would dare these manufactures to make one of these that does not end up looking like and capable of performing like a butt stock and see how many they sell. I can't help but shake my head at this game of making a pistol brace to fool the feds.

This. You can call me a shill but I don't want to play in that area that can be grey. With the ATF increasing form throughput I'm less apprehensive about SBR paperwork.

Like the SOB brace, first brace so nothing to compare it to. But it's comfortable and easy to use.98e0fa0c3fdc5268e3759568f6f169c6.jpg

I like that companies are being inventive, but, at some point the feds are going to put an end to this game. I have the original Sig brace, a letter from the feds and all is good. Some of the new designs are without a way to secure the "brace" to the forearm. One of the reasons that the feds approved the Sig Brace was because of the strap and the capability to secure it on the forearm.
Please do not take this as a slam on ANY other design. I am not trying to start a debate or attempt to say a know what the heck I am talking about, I can assure you I do not.
This is more of a observation and question than anything else.

I really like this design, alot. Compared to the Sig it looks so much better.

Nothing inventive about this brace. Its not adjustable and doesn't touch the shoulder it still is oem with no modifications.
