Yes, I read that also.  But I didn't garner any info about the possibility of it being used in personnel armor.

Yes, I read that also.  But I didn't garner any info about the possibility of it being used in personnel armor.

 

That's something I noticed myself when I'd read it.  They seem very confident in its abilities to stop a bullet, and claim it's 1/3 lighter than plates, yet they tended to focus on its use with armored vehicles.  I would think that their primary focus with such a product would be to use it in plate carriers.  Guess time will tell.

It may be lighter but may also be too bulky for body armor. There are a lot of unknowns here. But it does sound promising.

This is what I was thinking it probably has to be much thicker than regular plates to stop a bullet.
