Back in the free world again, while I loved visiting and would not mind living in Calif, there is something nie about having a toilet that does not use compressed air, cardboard straws....or any of the other 20 million Kalif unique items.....and Reno dies not smell like poop

However, a crash shut down 80 and we were cranky so checked into a casino, they lost the on line reservations...so we got comped a mini suite with huge Jacuzzi/hot tub.....and a midnight to 0800 steak & eggs special cheaper than a happy meal :tiphat: :tiphat:

Which Casino are you at? Reno/Sparks is interesting. It has grown a lot in the last 20 years. Gotten somewhat slummy in some areas. I remember the first time I was there walking from Peppermill to the convention center there was just desert on the west side of the road and a couple dives on the east side. Now it is all developed.

Going back at the end of August. It is usually not blast furnace hot by then. January it is downright comfortable.

Think I have a free day squeaked in. May have to finally rent a car and head up to Tahoe, been too long since I was in the mountains.

Nugget Casino Resort, the ones you recommended wanted for one night what we got this place with a hot tub in the room for 2 nights........guess they have lots of conventions going on.

Tahoe was packed, actually uncomfortably full of people......

Have a fun and safe trip!!!

Sister lived in Tracy, picked up 6 bottles of wine at the Fenestra Winery in Livermore.....

In no hurry at all, can take 50 across to 15 to 70 and then stop at Moab...or go to Shooters Grill in Rifle http://shootersgrillcafe.com/and then stop at Glenwood Springs & soak in the mineral springs......
