You don't buy the beer, you only rent it.

I like cider as well, and all the Woodchuck varieties are great. When I hiked across England I would take a cider break every afternoon with Strongbow being the most common brand over there.

Not if the question is what are you having.

In that case the correct answer is whiskey or bourbon. :)

I've never been a big beer drinker. I find just a couple make me sleepy,

where a little good bourbon, rye, Irish whisky, or even wine does not do that to me.

Years ago, I discovered that hops was the only other plant in the same "family"  (genus? not sure of the correct term)

as cannabis. There is a chemical compound in the hops and in beer called lulipin (sp?) that has some of the same type of sedative effects of cannabis which made perfect sense to me as to why I could not drink more than a couple of beers without wanting to take a nap.

Your fun fact for the day...

Same here.  Bought all kinds of microbrews and tried them all.  Only one I will drink now is Alpha Centauri.  But just a few times a year and the beer has to be ice cold and the weather warm and dry.  Drinking just makes me feel tired any more.

Yes, and VERY bitter.  Clean and fresh, almost an astringent.  I love it!  I really dislike dark beers.  Thick, frothy and taste like mud to me.
