Bohica arms states they make a 50bmg upper for the AR15. They are scam artists that promise the world and will take your money but never provide the product. All you will get for your money is every excuse in the book but no product. Eventually they will not even respond back to you. Very poor business to try to deal with . STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Tell us what happened.
Btw, why would you choose Bohica as your company's name?

As much as government has made itself into a thugocracy, revolution from oppression is still a right, illegal or not.

However, like stated above, if you get caught and your revolution fails, you still suffer the consequences.

A company with "Bohica" as its name would not get any of my business. Thanks for the warning!

Don't know why he would choose that name. Thought I would give a local guy a chance. We make AR lowers and thought it would be good to get some 50bmg uppers. He said 2 weeks for delivery at tme of order. Took the money then it was IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of him. The order was placed in March said he was held up a little because they had a baby. As of 5-25 he was to drop them off at our shop, NO SHOW. Lots of excuses but no product. Just want to make sure nobody else gets sucked in.

You know...I'd kind of like one of those......

However, as I'm reading through this thread, and the other one that it links to....and read about the people who are told the same thing week after week after month after month.....

I can't help but think the guy is sitting there on the other end of the phone trying his best not to laugh his ass off as he makes up yet another excuse and promises you yet another delivery date...just wondering how many times he can continue to do that before you get tired of it and demand your money back.

Especially with a name like BOHICA.....I bet he that has special meaning for his "return" customers.....

I am a completely satisfied BOHICA Far50 MKIII owner. I ordered it in the autumn of 2008, and due to huge demand, finally got it in spring of 2009. I built a dedicated lower, mounted the upper and it fires everything and functions perfectly. I know that 2008 was the breakout year for the BOHICA and that this little machine shop was overwhelmed by orders. I went in knowing this and everything went great. Sorry you had an issue. BTW, check out their forum for many other satisfied customers at bohicaarms.com. I understand that there is little to no wait time now for a standard upper.

I got my 24" upper off of gunbroker for the advertised price off of their website. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, but I just can't wait to shoot my elephant killer :thumb:

I hear ya, it was a long wait. The good news is that it seems the uppers are pretty much caught up. Bohica is constantly developing new products and it seems like the long waits occur due to the high level of interest his product development announcements garner. My criticism for Bohica is that they 1) announce products before they have them fully developed and in stock and 2) underestimate wait times. Otherwise, these are great people to work with and I recommend their products (at least the FAR-50 and related parts which I have used).

I believe they are working on a semi auto 50 as well. SA-50 might be the model, not sure. They were relocating parts of their business from MN to AZ this year which probably added to the backlog.
