Most of us seem to like Magpul Pmags. But C Products makes good mags too. There are tons of others also. USGI mags can be made even better by putting MAGPUL followers in them. I also recently picked up a TAPCO mag for my AR to try it out and I havent had a single problem with it.

you can't go wrong with Colt or magpul
I've been using the Colts for years, and they are flawless.

I must be tired. When I first saw this, I thought, "There are magazines out there dedicated to just the AR? I have never seen one on the news stands."

My cheap little Tapco mags actually fit better in my Bushmaster than the Bushmaster mag does. I also got me a PMag recently, but I haven't shot anything from it yet.

I believe that Mag Puls' PMag is the best I have used. I haven't had a problem with them yet. I also like quality U.S.G.I. magazines, with Mag Pul followers in them. That is all I have but been eyeing the Lancer L5 magazines, I just might give them a try.

I say go P Mag or U.S.G.I. or the Brownells. I have heard good things about the C products, so they might be worth looking at.

I also use PMAG's and USGI, but have found that the Tapco and Lancer L5 mags are great also.

Hard to beat Brownell's mags for the money. Their "tactical" 30rd comes with the Magpul follower, which are great by the way. They also sell just the followers if you want to upgrade old mags.

Pmags and C Products Stainless are the toughest I've used and abused. I tortured both and they held up to it. These C Products mags plus these mag followers or these mag followers work well and are a little less expensive.

All of mine are PMags, save a couple of Stoners.

I really knicked myself by not picking up a dozen of CMMG's teflon coated mags for $15 at the SHOT show.
They looked very nice, and their Immortal mag looks awesome!

In the 6.8 SPC C Products and PRI are good. C Products are considerably less money.

Check out the Brownell's magazines. They come in different configurations of springs etc. They just got a huge military contract and are going great guns. I have bought a dozen of them in the past year and am very pleased.

I did too. Yes they have some "reading" magazines on ARs. Just bought one Guns and Ammo "the Book of the Ar15"

Bought a few of these recently: http://www.ammunitio...rifle-magazines

Stainless mags with a full length TIG weld seam, instead of the usual spot welds on standard mags.

Made now by the Koreans as an exact copy of the $50 HK AR mags.

These are sweet and the price is just insanely low.

Anyone who likes metal mags should give these a try.

I would stick to Pmags, C Products Stainless, Colt/Okay/NHMTG, D&H or Brownells. All of them are proven mags.
