  1. uncle albert, if you just want to search for an existing T/C barrel, I don't want to distract you from that! T/C listed two 10mm barrels from 1989 to 1992. They were the No. 4528 that I mentioned earlier, a 14" Super, and No. 4254, a 10" bull barrel with sights. They also made a small run (116 barrels) in 6-1/2" bull with sights in 1992, specifically for the Thompson/Center Association, the collectors association for T/C products. I don't have a model number handy for that one, but I might be able to find it on the box if you really want it. The Thompson/Center Custom Shop at one time listed barrels in 10mm in lengths of 9", 12", 15", 18" and 21". I would guess that all of those are still available on special order. One of the interesting things about T/C is they seem to have made a lot of barrels that were never catalogued. That just adds to the interest in finding something unusual. If you want to take the "easy" way out and order a barrel from T/C, that is fairly easy to do. The web site for T/C is: http://www.tcarms.com/ The Custom Shop is: http://www.tcarms.com/customShop/ E. Arthur Brown Company also sells Contender (and Encore) barrels from the Custom Shop: http://www.eabco.com/tcref.html Have fun in your search, but check back in and let us know what you decided to buy, and how it shoots! GunLaw. OOPS! I got the model number of the 10" barrel wrong. Fixed now.
  2. VN350X10, Thompson/Center listed a 14" Super barrel in 10mm caliber, part No. 4528, from 1989 to 1992. I don't know how many of them were produced, or where you could find one. Thompson/Center Custom Shop will probably make up one in either 14" or 16-1/2" length. They are usually a bit more expensive than the standard barrels (if you can find a standard barrel). They sell them through Fox Ridge Outfitters. Good luck. GunLaw.
  3. Sam, I'm a new member here who came over because I found out about this offer from a post on smith-wessonforum.com. Please put me down for an order for one 5" Model 1006 barrel in .40 S&W caliber. I would also be interested in a 5" Model 1006 barrel in .357 SIG barrel if those are going to be offered. I expect that the standard S&W Model 1006 magazines in 10mm will also work for the .40 S&W. Do you have any information as to whether they will? GunLaw.
