  1. Found this on Brownells and thought it was pretty interesting. Anyone have this? http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=29329/P...LASH_SUPPRESSOR
  2. I love a great sounding vehicle. Nothing like an aftermarket exhaust on an LS2 GTO or tuned headers w/ turndowns on an old carb'd SBC. HOWEVER... to me, this car takes the cake. Its just so unique to me, I mean, what else sounds like that? (*Waits for the "bumblebee" or "every other civic in town" remarks :D*). I still love a healthy V8 or V10, turbo'd I6 or boxer 4. Something about a 4Rotor just gets me though.
  3. I have a detatchable carry handle made by Rock River Arms. Its in great shape, no scratches, came on a new RRA we had in the store which was sold a few months ago (buyer put Magpul MBUS rear sight in its place and just gave me the handle). Don't really need it, as I run Troy BUIS, but I'm willing to sell it to someone who can make better use of it. I have no pics but this is it in the link... http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fus...category_id=280 The only difference being it doesn't have the white "Rock River Arms" writing on the side (which is odd considering it came from RRA that way). I'm asking $60 shipped. Any interested parties, feel free to PM me or post in this thread with any questions/comments/concerns. -Lucas

    For the Pistol Builds

Nope- good to go, despite the "Why" factor, bipods do not turn a pistol into an AOW. Just look at all the benchrest pistols that are basically bolt action rifles "miniaturized" using bipods.

    Help me choose a sling

I've tried it and to be honest, I hated it. The idea behind it is a good one, but I think this one from BDS better applies that idea. http://www.bdstacticalgear.com/pd_bds_tact..._dual_sling.cfm

SBR as a "go to" rifle?

Alright, so despite the cool factor that SBR's posess, what is their tradeoff over a 16" AR? I figure its something like this... ----PROS---- * Lighter weight * More manueverable * More compact ----CONS---- * Decrease in ballistic performance (though my eyesight would probably limit me more than the rifle) * Louder signature * Muzzle flash If I'm missing something here, please fill me in- I just need the niggy-gritty. I'm at a fork in the road for my next AR build. I want an SBR (10.5 or 11.5", haven't decided). I've handled a few, but have never fired one. I also like the idea of a rifle that is weildy anywhere I may take it. Now, there's always the bullpup route- long barrel, compact size- but I'd rather stick with the AR platform. Any help you guys can provide would be appreciated.

Alright man, I know a guy who's selling a black one for cheap (like $30). If I can get ahold of him, and provided he still has it, I'l ask him some questions and give you his e-mail or phone number.
  8. Sorry, don't have a camera. :(
  9. Price reduction- $45 shipped!

Must not have needed it that bad eh?
  11. Bump with price reduction- $120 w/ Camelbak, $100 for the bag alone! Smoking deal!!!
  12. Topic says it all- its a Coyote tan 5.11 Rush 72 bag, new Camelbak OMEGA 3L hydration bladder (filled with water to verify seal, but never drank from). I've used the bag a few times commuting, but its never seen the elements. It is in great condition- no tears, all buckles and zippers are intact, etc. I'm asking $130 shipped for the bag and bladder, or $110 for the bag by itself. PM me or post in this thread if interested.

What color MOE stock do you need?

    Help me choose a sling

The adjustments are slightly different, despite having the same basic concept, but where the VTAC really shines is how QUICKLY one can either tighten, loosen, or secure the weapon to the body. A vid highlighting the VTAC's strengths.

Cool man, glad its coming together for ya! Looking forward to pics!

I strongly urge that you refrain from putting an MBUS on the gas block. It WILL melt after rapid fire.
  17. For a weapon mounted light, I wouldn't use the G2X Pro. I'd use the G2X Tactical for the simple fact that it only has one output setting and a pressure sensitive switch rather than a clicky switch.

Yeah, MOE is good to go man.

Oh yeah, those as well- keep them. I forgot to mention them. Good lookin out, unsuperman.
  20. Wrong. Google is your friend. You'll see a few Carbon 15's (semi auto) that have experienced premature failure due to heat fatigue in the upper near the barrel nut.
  21. Congrats on the rifle. Those things are indeed super lightweight, but their main drawback is fatigue can occur in the upper caused by heating and cooling, which may cause it to eventually break. Just don't do 100rd drum dumps all day and you should be fine though.

    A1 vs A2 Rear BUIS

A2 Rears also have an elevation adjustment, which IMHO is unnecessary considering the front sight is adjustable for elevation and most people zero their irons and leave them be.

Hey, I replied to your PM. However, nah definately keep the stock/upgrade to something you like better if you don't like it. I was mostly referring to the parts that won't benefit you as a shooter to begin with. Becoming familiar with the way the rifle functions as is and mastering your irons will be well rewarded in the end. As far as handguards- thats all up to you, so rock what you like. If you want to keep it a drop in, can't go wrong with a Magpul MOE handguard- VERY ergonomic, VERY durable, and looks pretty nice too. The rifle in my sig is actually just a rendering of my current build, which is in this phase at the moment... The tan and black one
  24. ^Yeah, it does look awesome!!!
