    Oh Crud. It's Monday again!

Man, I remember the first time I saw someone using starting fluid to seat a tire. I backed way the heck off while I watched.

Who forgot to pay the power bill?

I was actually concerned that something really did happen either with the server location or something else.

    The fuse is lit....

Ever since they took my gallbladder out it rarely fails that I have to make a run to the head shortly after eating.
  6. Yeah, and I don't like that kind of attitude. One day the young will be the "old people". How would they then like it if the next generation said "freak the old people, let them die."
  7. Every time I do the numbers from Louisiana of cases versus deaths I come up with between 3 and 4.7 percent.

    Been in Worse but

I don't know if there's another one or if you're thinking of me. I live about 70 miles Southeast of Monroe and we barely got anything other than a few good gusts last night as the front rolled past. I think you can find pics if you go to KNOE news Facebook page. Looks like it came through near the airport and tore a hangar up and several businesses in the area, plus tore up a bunch of houses in a nearby housing project.
  9. Heck, I'm still waiting on the ham forum....by the way, I like beans in my chili.....

    Hey smb5769

I like the way you think! I bet they haven't even thought of that. That would probably get a big laugh out of everyone.

    LA

Wow, my old stomping grounds. Used to live on the Southside near the corps of engineers office. Also lived near the water plant and old power plant near Forsythe park.

So that's how they do that...

    Japanese have blondes too huh?
  20. My wife shockingly enough has expressed interest in shooting and we are torn between a Springfield package with a mod 2 9 mm pistol, five mags, holster, mag "pouch", range bag and case, or anything Glock. Price is comparable between the two at the local gun shop. Any suggestions? She's never really shot pistols before so that is complicating it a bit. Oh, she was also looking at SCCY.

    New to forum: introduction

Welcome to the armory from the other end of LA as well!
  22. Thanks Rampy. I told her that I didn't really know about the XD, and said I'd be willing to bet there's a reason those SCCYs are so cheap. I didn't know that about the XD though, that would be a bad thing to happen if your life depends on clearing that malfunction. I didn't really like the looks of it myself. I kind of expected a bit better from Springfield.

    Anybody Drinking Tonight?

Only thing I usually drink is coffee but we went on a cruise a few weeks ago on the Carnival Glory and did I tear it up in Cozumel on a catamaran excursion....ol cuz said bar is open and drinks are free. I think my alcohol tolerance is a lot higher at 40 than it was at 18. I drank a heap of Dos Equis, then dude started bringing tequila shots around. I wasn't tore up at the end but I was smiling a bit bigger when I got off. I also asked about Guinness on the ship, always wanted to try it. They didn't have any but they said they had something like it called Sea Cow. I finished it but that was a no vote from me. Then I tried some of that hard cider. Pretty good, tasted like when we all used to drop jolly ranchers in Zima, like apple flavored beer. I got my liver torture in for the year. I usually drink Corona when I drink beer but the Dos Equis may have changed that.
