  1. Here's the 90% finished proof with some awesome Kydex from Ivory Holsters in Brighton. Waiting on my appointment with the engraver. Shoots awesome! I scored my best 300pt aggregate ever on Thursday, a 259. My previous best was 221, its 10 rounds on a B8 bullseye at 25yds, both hands, 10 rounds at 15yds, strong hand only, and 10 rounds at 10 yds, weak hand only, par time of 60 seconds per stage.
  2. Yeah, it'll have the STO crest on the top and Captain Roland's USAFA, birth and KIA dates on the side. The barrel is just a threaded LWD 40 to 9 conversion. I have the .40 barrel, but I don't use it. The Carver Comp works great. I don't have range time with the Viper yet, more on that this weekend. As for the LEOSA question, sorry man.
  3. Another step in the Roland Special comes to light. I'm going to have it engraved as a memorial to Captain Matthew Roland a 2010 Air Force Academy graduate who went Special Tactics Officer/Combat Controller (STO/CCT) and was killed in action in Afghanistan on August 26th, 2015.
  4. I'm waiting for mine tp get back from ATEi. The Roland Special made it into Guns and Ammo last week too. http://www.gunsandammo.com/network-topics/the-guns-network/the-roland-special-glock-19/ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
  5. Good combo for over gassed rifles or SBRs especially.
  6. Must be. But hey, I've slept since then. ;) But since then I've gone to Tubb flat wire springs in all my personal rifles and for the team. Less noise and under $20 if you shop around.
  7. I've never opened one up to diagnose the internal failure point, but the hydraulic portion will collapse and the buffer assembly closes and won't reopen or reseat the BCG.
  8. The JP system is designed for competition. I've seen 3 of them fail, generally in the 1500 to 2000 round range. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
  9. Getting there. MDRS should be in tomorrow, then off for milling. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
  10. TruGlo's suck. Front is too wide to allow for truly accurate work beyond 7m or so. Plus the rear is slanted in such a way to prevent one handed manipulations. Lotta pros using Ameriglo sights with great success to DRT bad guys. Just my .02 kopeks. Here's the ones I'm currently running: http://www.amazon.com/Ameriglo-Pro-IDOT-For-Glock-Orange/dp/B004YY2T4I
  11. Yeah, I know a fair amount about the 'Roland Special'. And like 'Roland' I'd choose ATEi over any other machining vendor out there. I've seen everyone else's close up and the workmanship just doesn't compare. If you're going to take this route, and I think its a good route for some end users, then do it right the first time. Just because McDonald's flipped the first fast of a billion food burgers, doesn't make them the best.
  12. Mac is a good dude and friend. If you get the chance to train with him, TAKE IT.
  13. Gradius, email me, I have some folks local to you that can help. coach@usafacst.org
  14. That dawg is gonna need a bacon infusion on the way back Ray.
