Not really. Not like an endurance/torture test. I just don't have the money for something like that. I have just a couple thousand rounds through it though, and when I clean in, I just clean it, and wipe it dry.

The lower receiver isn't a high stress part. So if you want a better looking receiver, milled by a certain company in their style, then go for it. If the poly lowers can handle the stress of firing an AR, billet, extruded or not, will more than handle the job, and look better doing it. Most of them aren't much heavier than any forged unit, from what I've seen anyways.
