  1. Thank guys, wish you all the best too, . I'm in Datong, China attending a wedding in the wife's family. I'm surprised I'm able to access the website, anything google related, Facebook, plus many other websites i visit are censored here, even when using openVPN. This is my third time to China since 2009 and it gets a little better each time, they like Americans, not so much the Germans or English for some reason. It seems this summer the woman have discovered 'Daisy Dukes' cut-off shorts .
  2. I went through the self checkout and everything ran up as expected, no cashier involved, maybe the store system was programmed wrong. Out of interest i will stop buy Home Depot within the next few days and check out the display ad again. Apologies, i didn't mean to mislead or misinform anyone, to my frugal ways it was a deal even I couldn't refuse.
  3. Yes, I got the 89.00 6.0 battery for free, the main kit still comes with two m12 1.5 batteries, they'll have a brochure near the display letting you know which kits qualify for the free battery, discount taken at register.
  4. I just bought this Milwaukee kit at Home Depot for 99.00... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Drill-Driver-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-2494-22/203111686 Comes with a free extended battery... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12-Volt-Redlithium-XC-6-0Ah-Extended-Capacity-Battery-Pack-48-11-2460/300069523 I've been very happy with it, the impact driver was very useful when i replaced the exhaust manifold on my work van.
  5. I,ve been happy with the Schumacher brand of chargers, I have the older version of this one but they have a good variety on their website. http://www.batterychargers.com/fr01242/
  6. How about mounting one of those small pinhole type security camera to your rear lense cover, close the cover and view the image on your screen, need to take a shot then flip the cover up and use the scope as normal.
  7. If you have time visit the National WW1 museum, the only museum in the U.S. specifically about WW1 that was able to be built before the stock crash in 29. Across the ways there is the old Union train station which was also pretty good. https://www.theworldwar.org/ http://www.unionstation.org/trains
  8. Thank you guys, I'll raise a glass to you all tonight and also wish you all the best!🍺

We bought a Sony A6000 with 16-50mm kit lens for the wife for our recent trip to China and Japan, it's light, takes great photo's and interchangeable lenses in case she ever wants to try more than point and shoot, it seriously is making me re consider my Pentax k200d and upgrading myself to an Olympus Om-D m5 II, the mirrorless cameras have really come a long way. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Mirrorless-Digital-Camera-16-50mm/dp/B00I8BICB2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448991392&sr=8-1&keywords=alpha+a6000 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sony-alpha-a6000
  10. Hi All I know you guys like photos so I thought I'd post some of my build that is almost done, been working on this on and off for a couple of years when time permits. Scoring the frame rails, finished of with a frame file from Brownells Lapping the slide to frame, took quite a while, used valve grinding compound, turned out to be very useful in getting a good fit with the grip safety, MSH etc, I would file until almost there then apply the lapping compound and work the parts until smooth. Finally all together, I was able to get one of the last Detonics Combat Master slide kits a while back, fits the frame very nicely, I cut the grip down to Officer size. Plan is to put a couple hundred rounds through her to "settle her in" then probably trim the frame to match the slide do final blending, polishing etc. Then I plan to cerakote the frame burnt bronze and the slide, grip safety, thumb safety, slide stop,MSH graphite black. Overall was a fun project and a good learning experience and here in California we do not get much to work with, would love to be able to order an officer frame and make a 10mm Detonics "streetmaster" inspired clone. Wish you all well and a great weekend!
  11. I bought my xds 4.0 9mm using the SSE process pretty much as CM described. They are know working on SSE 2.0, where the gun has to be single action only to begin with, bolt action top ends for 1911's have been around for awhile same with ar15's, glocks not so much but i understand they are working on something for the more popular handguns sig, glock, cz etc, either bolt action or break action. Were also still fighting the roster its been 14 years, were hoping this we'll hear something from the court's.
  12. Pretty much what everyone else has suggested is good, i would add Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Seaport Village and the bayfront with the USS Midway, Star of India, HMS Surprise etc,Cabrillo monument on the tip of Point Loma, Gaslamp quarter is also good for the nightlife. if you must venture to LA, just do the hollywood bit or go to San Pedro-USS Iowa- or Long Beach-Queen Mary. Not sure what your interests are.
