  1. It is actually not a swan sleeve. That is just the long rail piece that can actually pop right off the top there by unscrewing the 1 bolt and popping the takedown pin out (just like on the receiver) and it comes right off and then you have the Bi-Level forearm. It makes the upper rail one contionuos rail if you opt to use it. I highly recoomend the A.R.M.S. 50c Bi-Level system with all the add-on rails to anyone who has the money to burn. Be warned, the 5 extra rails will run you over $200 aside from the $350+ of the handguard itself. For what its worth, I got this one used for much less!! There are 5x optional rails you can buy after you buy the #50c handguard. The #1, the #2, the #3, the #4 and the top rail. It is all on the A.R.M.S. inc. website. The rails are under "accessories" .
  2. Okay, okay....so I put it there for myself.....but it still counts! Took me almost 3 months to get all the parts on my list to build her and on the 24th I spent about an hour assembling the whole thing. Now I just need a gas block buis! What do ya'll think?
  3. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a DPMS rifle. Some folks trust their lives with 'em.
  4. I went ahead and ordered a 16" standard contour carbine barrel with the blackened B Square fluting and Poly 5 rifling. I don't know much about these guys, but hear good stuff from this site. How did I do? How long is their shipping time on average if anyone knows?
  5. Ugh, what a find! Especially if you lived where I do! Pre-ban is all I can run here!
  6. Haha nice! I am currently battling with milled receiver AK disease. I don't have one and am trying to get one.....so its in its real uncomfortable stages of the disease atm!
  7. I went to their site...how the heck do I order one? I am going to grab the stripped A3...
  8. Go with this Daniel Defense Omega X 12.0 FSP and this Yankee Hill Machine built in front flip up/down sight gas block!
  9. I don't have any issues at all with Tapco gear. Their grips, vertical grips, rail covers and a lot of other accessories are very nice quality and very good looking as well! I truly do not know why so many people talk trash about them unless some of the stuff is made in China. That would definitely be a turn off to me. On the few tapco pieces I run on my ARs and AKs, I am 100% satisfied!
  10. The Knights Armament rail covers seen in my pic in post #1 of this thread are the actual rail covers in the KAC M5 RAS kit. You can buy all 3 lengths (measured in ribs) from Del-Ton's website. Either the 11 rib or 9 rib covers will cover the entire length of a carbine handguard. 11 may be a tad long though, I really can't remember.
  11. Here is my M16A4 clone in a basic configuration with the official Knights Armament Company M5 RAS Rail kit with VFG that the military uses on their M16s.
  12. Here is my self built M16A4 clone complete with the KAC M5 RAS kit that the Army and Marines use. Built on a Roggio lower with a DPMS carry handle and Mako A2 detachable front sight. Love them M16A4 clones!!
