Hi guys Just so happens I shot my new upper for the first time today, so here's what I have and how it shot. I have a Bravo Co (BCM) 16" Recce and have been happy with it. I recently decided I wanted to upgrade the upper to more of a bench rest shooter as I mainly shoot local club matches (100 to 600 yds). After a lot of research I decided to go with a White Oak Armament WOA. I ordered their 20" Stainless Varmint with straight full fluted barrel. It has 1/8 twist, 223/.556 Wylde (although they do not call it a Wylde), rifle length gas and barrel is crowned. I have been using 69 gr Sierra Match Kings and will work up loads for the new upper. I had a few Fiocchi 223 69 gr Matchking HPBT and couldn't wait to shoot the WOA upper so went to range today try it with the factory load Fiocchi. I installed a new Vortex Viper HST 6x24 w/MOA reticule. It took a couple of shots to get it on the paper. I then shot a five shot group at 100 yds. Group was .739 with four of the five at .498. I realize this is not great but am very encouraged that it shot that with factory loads and am looking forward to working up some loads with the 69 gr Sierra's and Varget. I definitely noticed the difference in the mid length gas of the old upper compared to the rifle length of the new upper. It has felt recoil to the point with the heavy barrel there is almost no recoil. I think I am really going to like the WOA upper. Workmanship is flawless and the price was right.
