    AR15 Picture Thread Part III

Lots of other cool stuff on the rifle, but I know what all that stuff is! Very nice build, sir.

What's that in front of the aimpoint in the new version? Just curious.

    PRVI Partizen PPU

Yeah, I bought it for range ammo. Do you know if the brass is safe to reload?

    PRVI Partizen PPU

Wow, deadguy, that's scary. Can you share more details? What were you shooting it out of?
  6. Cheaper than what it would cost me to reload the brass I already have. Anybody shot this stuff?

That gives me some sweet ideas. Thanks for sharing in that other thread. A new twist on doing a color scheme using only furniture.

    Bump fire problems - FTF.

I meant taking the buffer out of one side of the spring and inserting into the other side. I know this shouldn't make a difference, but it can't hurt. PS - I'm holding off on the range trip until I can get a few different brands of ammo to try.

    Bump fire problems - FTF.

It's a midlength with a regular gas tube. I have the gas tube and gas block removed and am soaking everything overnight. The plan is to a run pipe cleaner through the tube again tomorrow - but honestly everything looks good so far. The bolt passed the o-ring test, meaning it supported the weight of the BCG without falling free. Tomorrow I plan on removing the buffer and inverting the spring before re-installing the gas block and tube. Then off to the range. I will report back then. TaosGlock, do tell! I follow the law to the letter and beyond. PM me if you must!

Big Bore Better for Short Barrels?

Did anything ever come of this?

    Bump fire problems - FTF.

I don't think it is. A little update. This is definitely a short stroking issue. It seams to be getting worse. I went out today, and now I'm starting to have trouble with the bolt not locking back on an empty mag. I've read the troubleshooting thread, and am going to do some troubleshooting. I'll report back when I've fixed the problem.

    Bump fire problems - FTF.

I know for a fact that on at least one occasion I was able to. I will try some different ammo first. Pyro073 - I just like to because it's fun. At roughly $0.15 per round it's relatively cheap for my rifle. As a side note, I was actually able to control it pretty well when it was working. Well enough for CQB distances anyway.

I know it's not 100%, but during my last few range sessions, it's been 0%. Could under-powered ammo cause the bolt to not cycle back far enough to catch the next round? What would you try first? Lighter buffer? Weaker or shorter spring? Different ammo? Ammo might seam to be the obvious choice, but I'd have to order it the same as I would any other component.

    Bump fire problems - FTF.

When my AR was new I could bump fire it pretty well. Recently, no matter what technique I've tried, the bolt fails to strip a round every time. I am shooting Yugo surplus 7.62x39, of various dates. I keep everything lubed up and clean. I have stripped the rifle and inspected everything closely - no visable defects. What could I be missing here?

    GLOCK 20 SF 10RD MAGAZINE ??

The ones online with "10 round mags" are for california and other nazi states. They are the same size as normal 15 round mags.
