  10. Yea, I own one that I bought off a WWII vet whose family had no interest in any of his firearms. It's a Spreewerke "CYQ"...with a three digit ( early 1942 ) serial number, the frame and slide have Wehrmacht proof marks ( eagle over swaztika ) and the grips are black bakelite and have the lanyard ring.
  11. Just joined your group and wanted to say that I'm looking forward to sharing my expertise and in turn learning from the members here. I am now retired after 32 years with the Dept of Defense, and have been an avid firearm collector (35 years) whose tastes range from 1911a1's to 1927a1's, from lever actions to bolt, from revolvers to semi-autos, both single and double action, and from pre-WWII to current military arms. Since this is an AR15 forum, here's a shot of my carbine...an Olympic Arms CAR-97 PCR ( Politically Correct Rifle ), purchased during the AWB in 2003. While it doesn't have a bayonet lug ( wasn't gonna use it as a spear anyway ), and it came with a pinned M4orgery stock...I have since swapped out said stock for a 6 position one. I also can swap between a red dot and a 4x scope if the situation demands. The 5.56 / 1:9 twist barrel stabilizes both Hornady 223 Rem 55gr TAP FPD and 5.56 NATO 55gr GMX with deadly accuracy. And here's what we can do @ 100 yards, using iron sights, off hand: I look forward to meeting all of you as time goes on...take care for now !!
