Texasrep - I confirm for 3 BCG? Actually one of them Dan has already done. But, I still will do all of them over again, just as overkill. I left e-mail for Dan what I was doing, unless I hear different from someone, My 3 BCG will go out this weekend to him. I will let you know, when all gets sent. Just can't pass up a deal like this. Thanks for doing all of this. TR

Micro-Slick Group Buy!!!

Dan at Amelon does great work, I sent him my entire rifle for exterior coating and micro coating of internal parts. That was over 6-months ago and about 3,000 rounds, and just a few little wear spots to be expected. I won't say you can eliminate lubrication, as you will need a little in places, however you won't need near as much as you used before. I have cut down so much, that I used to carry bottles of the extreme lubricate, now I carry the little tube of 2000 grease to be used in very small amounts. You don't want to use a lot of lubricate as it will affect/ slow down the micro-slicked being adsorbed and coating perfectly. Of course, Dan could explain it better. This stuff really holds up to the abuse some of us give them. I highly recommend Amelon's work, it is superior and their customer service is outstanding. If you want to hear a sad story, ask Dan about Dwayne's rifle and silly gunshops. TR
5. Thanks, Sirs, I knew the experts on this forum can answer anything relating to guns and much, much, more. Looks like I will be carrying a Raven about December, 2012. LOL I hope. Thanks again, texasrep
6. Hey Ya'll, I need some information on where I could get a reasonably priced holster for a HK USP 9mm with adapter on bottom rail that allowed me to put a Streamlight TLR 2 Weapon light/ laser on pistol. My problem is that I cannot find a holster to fit pistol now. I don't care if nylon or leather, but, if holster costs less than a $100, that would be great. As I had another problem, I came back to forum that has always helped me, either with a gunsmith answer or where to get parts etc...that I have needed for my AR. So, any help you could give me on where to find a holster would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Texasrep
7. Hey Bro, ( Don29palms) I could use your wise sage advice on another matter, I need/want a optic on this AR, instead of what I had on it.( a nice Sightron and a cheap leapers on it, neither had adjustable magnification.) I have Troy Ind sights on it at your advice. But, I am losing vision very badly, and I need magnification. I don't want to spend more than $200-$300 on a scope with magnification, but, will co-witness with sights. I knew you advised another brother on here on a small company that made really good optics. But, I am unable to pull that thread. Can you help me? I would really appreciate it. Also, issue is scope cannot be longer that 7 inches. Thanks again, my friend. Texasrep
8. I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me advice, when my bolt was not locking back after last round in magazine was fired. The issue is fixed, I believe it was Don29palm who told me to check bullet button backing off. That was issue, once I tightened bullet button back down, then bolt locked back after last round everytime. Sorry, it took so long to respond to advice and try them out, but, a good friend had a mild stroke and I was busy everyday helping him. So, anyway, as usual the people on this forum helped me solve one of my AR problems, again. Thank You, Texasrep
9. Thank You, Sir, I will get on these when I get home about noon. I really appreacite your help, one thing I love about this forum, is everyone is willing to help someone out with a problem. Thanks again, I will advise of troubleshooting results. TR
10. No Sir, I got rid of that darn thing. I ain't coordinated enough to do all that at that same time. LOL Thanks, TR
11. Happy New Year, and I hope 2012 is better than 2011. I have a question about a situation that has been wrote about a couple of hundred times on this forum, I just was unable to find them. My newly rebuilt inside and outside DPMS Sportical AR 15, which is shooting great, except it is not locking after last shot. I changed magazines, lubricated rifle, and for some damn reason bolt is still not locking back after last shot. Any suggestions from the experts, I would really appreciate any help I could get. Thank You, TR

Ammo Storage

Thanks to all who gave me advice on storage of my ammo. I have a bunch of .50 caliber metal ammo boxes, I will put excess ammo in those with a dessicant pack, and store under my outdoor kitchen, it stays pretty much same temp. Thanks again, Oh, Newbe, I was going with your advice of storing it at your place, but then I remembered ammo cans. Sorry. LOL Texasrep

Ammo Storage

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to Ya'll. I have a question about storage of a large amount of various kinds of ammunition. I have been given different answers from people not on forum, so I thought I would ask question of experts on this forum. Ya'll have always helped me fix any issues, you have gave me advice (don29palms). Okay, here goes, my ammunition has run over storage area in my safe, and I have a big safe, so I need to store in an alternative storage location. A large amount of ammunition. I have a upright freezer we are not using as, I have refrigerator from inside house, out in garage, as my wife wanted a new $3,000 model. Nevermind, another story. LOL Would it be okay to store in freezer, if I removed rubber gasket around door, so air could get in, and I intended to put another rod in freezer to control humidity. I want ammo to have protection and secure from prying eyes and sticky hands. So, is this okay? Some said yes, some said should just keep in my garage cabinents. Please let me know what ya'll think WOULD BE BEST. Thanks again, Texasrep
