    Ar-15 uppers for sale?

I am in no way affiliated with this company and resent your implications. I went with RedXarms and the fit and finish are great.

    single point sling plate question.

Also be aware of the buffer detent and spring when you unscrew the buffer tube. Go ahead and ask me how I know
  3. If it is a factory Colt barrel, it should be a 5.56 chamber. I believe some Colt lowers were marked .223, but check the barrel (probably under the handguards) for any markings.

    Tulsa gun shops

I am coming to Tulsa for a couple days for work. Are there any gunshops that carry AR uppers / parts that you would recommend? Any ones to stay away from?
  5. A year or so ago, I was at my local public range (on game and fish property) with my 13 year old. We had the 200 yard range to ourselves and were in lane 1 and 2. This moron comes up, and starts unloading his gear and setting up in lane 3. He had 6 handguns, all different caliber, and a bag of loose ammo - all mixed. Short version, he is bragging about his new S&W 4506 and does not understand the magazine disconnect safety -- he ends up blowing a hole in the roof directly in front of me, and I 'not so politely' told him to pack up and leave. Ten minutes later he is back with a game warden accusing me of threatening him. After I told my side of the story and pointed out the bullet hole to the warden, he cited said MORON for damaging state property. I just had to laugh. Unfortunately, not all shooters are responsible and you just have to ignore the idiots......

    New goodies

I just order it -- ship it to my office -- and sneak it in the house. To my wife, all guns look alike and she never notices the difference anyway.......... I hope

    Let's talk triggers............

I recently built a lower with a Jard adjustable trigger. It ended up around 2 LBS with a little creep -- BUT it took me over an hour to 'set' the adjustments and make it safe and functional. Even though it is the slickest AR trigger I have ever put together, I am not sure how durable or reliable it will prove to be, and I would look at the Chip McCormick or Timney drop in units.

    Getting back into AR platforms

my son is only 14, but he is 6'4 and 185 -- straight A student with his head screwed on strait. He loves range time and shooting anything. I am thinking SOTA complete upper for him -- anyone have any experience with this company or specifically on the quality of their parts?? Anyone know EA (Essential Arms) and have any input on their quality?

    Getting back into AR platforms

forgot to mention that I picked up two Essential Arms lowers (made in LA - lower Arkansas aka Louisiana) and would love to hear any input on this brand....
  12. I am new to the Forum -- have owned many AR's in the past, but about to get back into the game by building 2 sequential serial number lowers for my son and I. My boy wants an M4 style and I will be building a varmint / predator / target model and I am open to any suggestions. I used to shoot in 3 gun matches and tactical rifle. I was hoping to avoid BRD, but I have had a major relapse......
