  1. Fine, then let's move everyone who associates with that group to Russia, North/ South Korea, many parts of Africa, or any other communist/ 3rd world country and see if they like it there better. Don't like the United States or what we do, then GET THE freak OUT! I don't like a lot of things that happen here either, but I'm also not immature and ignorant enough to think that the U.S. sucks for some of its mistakes. More over, are these claimed civil rights violations even mistakes? A lot of the drone strikes have also killed many insurgents, the racial profiling (although not the best route of course) ironically has worked in numerous drug-related incidents and arrests, and much of these illegal immigrants not only take jobs of legal U.S. citizens, but many neglect to file taxes on their earnings because their legal residence is in another country. I'm done ranting. I am by no means a fan of the president nor the administration, but I will still defend my home and country because this is where I'm from, this is where I was born, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
  2. Thank you for the info you guys. I didn't know Mega is doing one too, I'll have to check it out.
  3. I saw that and I am really interested in it. $340 buys you a whole Accuracy International mag compatible set up.
  4. Morning guys. I have been looking at chassis systems for rifles a lot lately and want to know what you think about them and who here runs them. I know there is the ever popular Accuracy International, but who else makes these for something like a Remington 700 action? I've found companies like McCree and KRG but don't really know who else makes a complete, drop-in chassis that uses ACIS style mags.
  5. Not a fan. I can comfortably carry my Glock 21 in an inside-the-waistband holster just fine with a t-shirt and jeans. I think having something that large out in the open draws unnecessary attention.
  6. I am very interested in this as well. I was thinking about building a budget, tactical .308 sometime in the future and this is definitely an attractive option. I forgot where I read this but I saw that the stock is able to handle any barrel contour up to a Krieger Heavy Palma too. Lots of options. Found my source. First paragraph below the aluminum bedding picture. http://gearscout.militarytimes.com/2015/01/21/magpul-hunter-700-stock-magazine-well/
  7. The gravesite for that bombing is within viewing distance of my home. It's at the Linkville Cemetary here in Klamath Falls.
  8. I have to agree with Pepper on this as well. I love the .300 Win Mag, but it is definitely a purpose-built cartridge. It CAN and WILL take all game in the United States, but you better be far away when you shoot or else there will be nothing salvageable left to eat! The cartridge is a beast and one that is not easy to get used to nor tame. If you can get past the recoil and cost of ammo, you're golden. But if you put a muzzle brake on it, be aware that everyone around you will most likely hate you and that you can never take a game shot without hearing protection because the noise level will destroy your ears. All in all, I like the .300 Win Mag, but its pluses and minuses are definitely at the extreme so weigh out your thoughts on this one well.
  9. Bolt action .308, .50AE Desert Eagle, maybe even getting a trust started and putting in a Form 1 or Form 4 for a homemade/ factory built suppressor. Who knows.
  10. I love it. You are correct and the sounds blast from the side, but it really isn't as horrible as most will state. I used to shoot at a small, indoor range and never had issues with sound or concussion as a shooter. As a bystander, the blast is definitely noticeable, but it's not uncomfortable or unpleasant. I have heard people say that "this comp turns my AR into a .308," and that just is not true. It will increase the sound and concussion some, but not enough to have concerns. As far as the performance goes, on my 16" piston carbine with H2 buffer, it helped to reduce muzzle rise substantially. Feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions Jaeger.
  11. You know what it is. Only about 150-200 rounds through it since I just haven't shot my AR very much in a while. Since I'm getting back into shooting, I decided to purchase a different comp so I could try something new. This muzzle compensator also comes with 5 small shims and 1 large shim to ensure proper alignment on your rifle. It is yours for only $60.00 with free shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you are interested. Thanks for looking guys. Edit 01/12/2015: Made topic title more detailed. Edit 02/11/2015: Price drop from $70 to $60.
  12. Because it was in Portland. Pepper, any input on this fine gentleman?
  13. Exactly. Now, if it increased the flash by 100%, then I might buy one just for shats and giggles
