  2. thanks for posting that lon. The full video is better quality than the foxnews clip. The deceased looks more aggressive in that clip, but still seems to retreat when the gun is pulled. It looks like the guy shot him as he was turning to walk away. and i get what your saying Retcop, but would a reasonable person think that the guy was defending his family? its not like he was asking the girl how her day was going or chatting about the weather. The guy was being a jerk about her parking ability. Heck call the cops, take a picture if it bugs you that bad. if deceased had turned 1/2 a second earlier, which is clearly what he was doing. This just bothers me for some reason. Also the sheriff saying that "stand your ground law prevents him from making arrest" makes me wonder if the sheriff is opposed to the law and wants to draw attention to it.
  3. i agree gmor, these (grey) shootings turn people against "stand your ground laws". It seems odd to me that a sheriff would make this call and not let a grand jury clear this guy. I think in NC they send everything to GJ and let them make the call on self defense justification. At least that is what i was told in BLET several years ago
  4. Yea I'm not sure in Florida, here in nc if you start it you wave your protections. I'm not sure what words were said. But the dead guy had a girlfriend and three kids under 5 years old in that car. I've got to ask what would I do if I walked outa a convenience store and saw some strange man harassing or in my wife's face. Especially with my babies in the car. I doubt I'd throw the guy to the ground but the situation would likely escalate before it was resolved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/07/22/florida-sheriff-says-stand-your-ground-law-prevents-arrest-in-fatal-shooting-in-parking-spot-dispute.html Im not sure about this being a good shoot. Shooter was confronting deceased girlfriend, guy steps in and shoves him to ground and gets shot. looks like he takes a couple steps back before. This should at least go to a grand jury. Right???????

  7. Alien gear has some good options for both inside and outside wasteband carry. They offer belts too. But like Gmoutain said. Everyone is different. I got the kit from alien that has both in and out holsters. It came with the kydex pieces that I can interchange for my sig 1911 officer, and my M&P shield 9mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Well fellas, I shot a FN SCAR 16s today for the first time..and........ I'm gonna need to get one. holy cow what a recoil. Or should i say, what recoil? Who here has one?
  11. I called wayfair on Friday. We've bought maybe 1000 dollars worth of stuff from them over the last 2 years. Cribs dressers etc... I told the CSR that they wouldn't be getting any further business from me because of this issue. I was polite and so was the rep. I asked him, before I ended the call, if they had received many calls like mine. He said they were getting a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Awesome news! I'll second what @DanR said. He sure is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Look at this for your Romeo http://blog.olegvolk.net/2014/02/07/updating-the-light-rifle/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.opticsplanet.com/trijicon-rmr-carry-handle-mount.html%3f_iv_amp=1 If your wanting a longer range upper, look into a 18" lightweight mid length upper. Put a 1-6 or 1-8 illuminated scope on it. That should get you covered pretty well out to 400+ yards and it'll be lightweight in a shtf situation. Also the lightweight profile will work fine for hunting duty. Here is a 18" upper with backup sights for less than 400 at palmetto. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-18-rifle-length-223-wylde-1-7-nitride-15-lightweight-m-lok-upper-with-mbus-sight-set-bcg-ch-5165447683.html Comes with BCG, charging handle and sights. And Welcome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Taking my suppressed 300blk shooting in the woods was eye opening. Those 210gn slugs bounce all over the place. Even when shooting into a berm, they still end up bouncing and zinging thru the tree tops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. makita is GTG if your a pro. The drills they sell are rebuildable. Ive used that service a couple of times with the hammer drills. ive had milwaukee drills too. Harbor Freight is getting into the pro quality cordless game, if i was starting fresh i might check those out if you have a store close by. i think the brand is Hercules and they look real close to the makita units, although im not sure what other goodies they have for the 20v lithium batteries.
