  1. Got to see this shotgun in action today at the range! The guy that had it says that it was the same one R Lee Ermy used in one of his shows. It was cool as all get out!!!!
  2. Just read about this. I really liked Ronnie. Seen Heaven and Hell in Cincinnatti OH. Helluva concert. He was a legend, and his work with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, and his own band Dio will not be forgotten.
  3. http://www.omnivoracious.com/2010/05/frank-frazetta-rip.html I grew up reading the great works of Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian, Kull of Atlantis, Bran Mak Morn, etc. What attracted me to these works was the great cover art of Frank Frazetta. He was a master of fantasy art. May he rest in peace.
  4. As the owner of both, I would say go for the AR.
  5. but if my Mini 14 will keep shooting like this, I may have finally found a good one! Put an el-cheapo Tasco on it, got it sighted in, and shot this 10 shot group at a measured 100 yards with it. Like I said, it aint a tack driver by any stretch, but this is better than I have ever got any of the other 4 Minis I have owned to shoot. And, the shots don't drop on this one. That has always been my biggest complaint with one. I have probably shot 200 rounds or more through this thing since I bought it. Forgot how much fun they are! If you ignore the bottom shot, which was the 1st shot, that is a 2 inch group. With the bottom it is 3.
  6. Iron Maiden is probably the only true heavy metal band I really like. Love Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, and a few others, but for the most part don't consider them heavy metal, just hard rock.
  7. The NRA is the only game in town, as far as I am concerned. All these other groups, although I have nothing against them, are competing for money. Money that would be better spent on the NRA. The NRA picks it's battle's wisely. They do not throw away money on something they think they have no chance of winning. Yeah, they have compromised on things over the years. But, by and large, they have done so for the greater good of the greatest number of gun owners. I have been a Life Member for many years, and if not for the NRA, I honestly do not think we would have any gun rights at all.
  8. I have never had a problem with Del-Ton. Usually very good service.
  9. Greatest band of all time was Black Sabbath, and they came out in the 1970s, as did a lot of great bands.
  10. I bought one over two years ago, and put it together with a Double Star lower. Went together without a hitch, and am still using it today. I love mine. My only suggestion would be for you to make sure the chamber is completely clean before firing it. I did not do that and the cartridge would not go all the way into the chamber. I cleaned it out real good, and it has never failed me since.
  11. Well, shot several rounds yesterday. Shot my .22s and then broke out the big boys, a Ruger Super Blackhawk and a Smith 629. Just had to post this picture of my target with the Smith! This is two handed from 15 yards. As I have not been shooting worth a crap lately, I am pretty happy with it. That is 12 rounds. The two guns: My shooting spot (right beside my house!)
  12. Rasputin, come back in the shop and see me again. It is hard to talk much, as you know how busy we are, but it is always cool to talk to someone from the armory. It is a entirely different experience working the Machine Gun Shoot than it is getting to actually watch it and enjoy it!
  13. I work at one, so NO, I do not hang out there on my days off! There are a group of about 5 or 6 old guys that hang out in the morning, and 3 guys in the afternoon. I call them the day shift and night shift. Sometimes there shifts overlap. I like them all, but they do sometimes get in the way when you are trying to wait on paying customers.
