  1. I do. Sadly,it’s been so long since I looked at it that I cant remember what’s in it. I do know that it’s got everything you’d need for at least two weeks of roughing it.
  2. Not everyone’s cup o tea,but a funny guy who never stooped to apologize to the kooks on the left. His unique comedic sensibilities will be missed. A very funny man. All my best to his family.
  3. Not typical legal thing for here, but I hope to find some help. I live in Seattle & have been summoned for jury duty. You have to fill out an online questionnaire before showing up. The last question asked is”what is your sexual orientation” surely this cant be a legal question. I answered “none of your dam business”but still find it hard to believe that they can legally ask this. Legal opinions wanted. Thnx.
  4. Breaks my heart. The monkeys had some amazing music. Papa genes blues, what am I doing hanging round. Another day of suck.
  5. Absolutely shocked, but dam happy to hear it. I hope he now goes on the warpath with lawsuits.
  6. Thanks y’all. It really sunk in today that he’s really gone. I kept expecting a cal from George,or his wife that there had been some kind of mixup & that he was ok & recovering in the hospital. Of course I knew it wasn’t going to happen, but a little piece of my brain just kept telling me this was the situation. I’m now focused on the great times we had & doing anything I can to help his wife through this. Thank you all once again.
  7. I found out on Saturday that my friend,George, had died a few days before. His wife called to let me know. Sadly,we’d got into an argument about covid & hadn’t spoken for the past a year. He was a master carpenter,a jack of all trades,a helluva fly fisherman(he learned it all from me😉) a shipwright & just a guy who was a blast to hang out with & have a few beers around a campfire. I will miss George the rest of my life. Appreciate the people that you love & that love you. Dont let petty issues create rifts that may never be be mended.
  8. Thanks y’all. Not exactly the greatest of bdays seeing as I got diagnosed with diabetes today. The joys of growing older.
  9. I dont work at a yard. I work where ever the boat is. I’m an independent. Work has been no problem.
  10. Saw an amazing thing on a bus in Seattle today. A black woman was having trouble getting her stroller locked in & the driver refused to get out of his plexibox & help her figure it out. He was being a coward & lazy & was obviously using covid as an excuse. He was getting some flack from riders & one guy who happened to be black almost immediately went to the race card. When I pointed out that the driver was just lazy & not racist,I got a wink & a smile from the guy indicating that he was just throwing it out there because he could. Thats where we are at. Even when there’s absolutely no whiff of racism it’s just automatically used as an intimidation tool.
  11. Bummer. I rarely eat cereal,but if I do it’s wheaties.
  12. You guys are all codgers,so much of what I’m going to say won’t make any sense. Saw Yes,in the early 2000nds. Amazing show & amazing to see a band I’d grown up listening to. I’d have to say the best shows I’ve ever been to are Jesus Lizard, shows. One in 94 & one in 18. The band can best be described as pcp cowboy music with Charles Manson on vocals. The lead singer spends most of his time kicking the audience in the head with cowboy boots or smashing into them as he leaps from the stage. I guess you had to be there Honorable mention to No Means No & The melvins.
  13. It tastes good,so I’m fine with it.
  14. The power they’ve seized will have to be pried from them. Politicians never give up power willingly. As more people succumb to the fear the fear will be ratcheted up along with their control.
