  1. Had a good fathers day shooting with my dad this weekend. So went with PMC Bronze .223 Remington 55GR Independence 5.56 NATO 55gr PMC X-Tac 5.56mm NATO 62gr Had 100 rounds of each. Not one misfire, or jam with any of the ammo. I think the PMC x-tac was my favorite and will be ordering more of that! I'll post some better pics later. I have one! Thanks guys
  2. I'll make sure to shoot that at the end of the day! lol
  3. haha I already did!! I'll look around for some other brands to try as well! This is what I ordered so far. PMC Bronze .223 Remington 55GR Independence 5.56 NATO 55gr PMC X-Tac 5.56mm NATO 62gr
  4. I'll check it out right now!! And as soon as I get my new rail, I'll post some pics! The first one I bought, I wasn't happy with the quality so sent it back. Actually the was the bad barrel nut it came with. I'm sure the BCM rail is going to be alot better. ;)
  5. Thanks! That helps a lot. So I guess there is really no right / wrong. I'll start off with a few diff smaller boxes and see how it goes!
  6. Yeah its marked for both. Yea, just want to really understand it.
  7. So basically the higher gain, the longer range? and 223 vs 556 is just power?
  8. Hey All, New here. Decided to build my first rifle a few weeks ago. Been researching and learning as much as I can. The build was A LOT of fun, and I've leaned so much. Here are the specs Lower - Spikes Upper - Spikes BCG - Spikes Primary arms trigger kit Classic firearms 1/8 twist 16" barrel. BCM rail Magpul stock t2 buffer magpul flip up sights some shatty red dot that I plan to upgrade. Anyways, I'm still having a hard time picking out ammo, and trying to understand it all. With my handguns It never seems to matter to me, but for the rifle I want to fully understand it. http://www.bulkammo.com/bulk-223-ammo-223rem62grfmjfiocchi-50 that's what i was thinking of getting. I went with the 1/8 twist because it seemed like a good middle ground. Are the 62 grain .223 good enough to start with? should I start with 5.56? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
