  1. Just be careful and don’t post anything stupid on the internet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Like Homer said, that topic has been shrouded in controversy for a couple years now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yep. I run an oversized pistol buffer tube on mine. It’s too big for a stock to even fit on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes. The lower receiver has to be transferred to you as a pistol or “other” most dealers do “other” for stripped lowers. It is illegal to make a pistol from a rifle, therefore you cannot have it transferred as a rifle if you intend to make it a pistol. Braces are legal in most areas, obviously check your local laws if you aren’t sure. I’m not a lawyer. In most areas, purchasing a stripped lower is the same process as any other Title I firearm. Make sure you use a pistol buffer tube or a buffer tube that doesn’t have the notches for stocks. Having a short barreled firearm that a stock can be easily attached to can be considered “constructive possession”. Also, be careful with short barreled uppers laying around. Generally, you want to make sure that your pistols remain completely assembled as pistols. Loose rifle lowers and pistol uppers could get you in to some trouble with the ATF. I personally own an AR pistol and have been very pleased with it, you just have to be careful with the legalities. Your best bet would be to study the NFA regulations and talk to your dealer before you do much. Happy building!! P.S. Don’t forget that you CANNOT put a vertical fore grip on said pistol. That would make it an AOW which also requires NFA registration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Another good single stack fatty option. M&Ps are good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Oh and the XD grip feels like a Lego. Just FYI. I owned one for about 3 months. The reliability of mine was hit or miss. If it matters to you, mine was post safety recall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. XD stands for Xtremely Disappointing in my opinion. The triggers are made out of Croatian rubber bands and over cooked spaghetti. If you want a single stack fatty, get a Glock 36. That’s just my $0.02 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Man...how much does that thing weigh??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Stripped lowers are usually the way to go. You can buy lower parts kits minus the fire control group for a reasonable price and that allows you to choose your trigger. If you want a top of the line trigger, go with Timney or CMC single stage. Free float hand guards with proprietary barrel nuts are annoying to me. I prefer the GI barrel nut. The Samson handgaurds use mil spec barrel nuts and a collar system to attach the handgaurd. It’s very similar to the Troy system. So similar in fact that there was actually a lawsuit over it. I don’t have any experience with side chargers so I’m not able to offer any advice there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. They’re both about the same. If I had to pick one I’d pick the ruger, mainly because they make them right down the road from me in NC. But honestly they’re about the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. .223 Wylde is the best of both worlds. It’s the middle of the road, ideal chamber. Get a 1/8 twist and you’re good to go. White oak armament barrels are great, Rainier Arms ultramatch is almost identical to them also. Correct me if I’m wrong here guys, but I believe those Rainier barrels are made from white oak blanks.
