  1. Finished up the 204 Ruger.... side charger, Aero lower, ambi mag release, pushbutton safety, ER Shaw barrel, JMT trigger, rifle gas, Odin Works handguard, Magpul furniture. I need to scope it and get it to the range along with my others. Could be some serious medicine for prairie dogs this fall.
  2. I believe Hornady was claiming 4225 fps for the 204R with their 32 gr factory stuff. Not sure if that was with a 24 or 26" barrel.... and they also were using a proprietary powder that wasn't available on the market. There is also supposed to be a 24 gr. factory load by Hornady that is supposed to reach 4400 fps from a 26" barrel. Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Range closures due to the Chinese Crud put my shoot-off on hold. Things are opened up again (at least for now) so still hoping to get back to comparing the 2. Not being able to shoot didn't stop me from building though. I completed another 556, a 300 BO pistol and will have another 204 Ruger finished by the end of the week. Should be a fun time when I can back out with them. Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Just finished up the Valkyrie and gonna have a shoot-off against the 22 Nosler I did a while back. Nothing scientific... I'll get them both zeroed in, start throwing rounds downrange and see what happens. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Except for the trigger, SI enhanced lpk's are all I use nowadays. Good quality and good looking. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Many years ago as a field artillery surveyor, mils were the angular unit we used. All of our theodolites (no GPS back then!) were graduated in mils which were so much easier to work with than the 360 DMS system I had to learn when moving into geodetic and topographic work. 7. Nice! That A1 clone is giving me flashbacks though.....sandfleas, long walks in the sand........!!
  8. This!! I just finished up a 450 Bush build. Lot's of fun.....and "thump!" Now I just have to find a rear sight that stays put and doesn't whack me on the forehead as it flies off every other shot!
  9. A great price. BCA themselves had them on sale for $119 a couple of weeks ago.
  10. Oh no....you're not making me spend money today. I fell for the last BCG deal from PSA!
  11. I like it when they ask me to reach in there and get it out!
  12. Dang it....just too tempting....I went and ordered one! I've been wanting to do another build of some sort anyway.
  13. Yes, you're right. That upper isn't dual charging and I didn't think to go back and grab the plug when I saw that. They look to be in stock so I can order one up. Would have been a little gas to the face I imagine! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  14. Here's the couple I did. First one is a 300 Blackout with Primary Arms red dot. The upper is Bear Creek, but I must have got the BCG elsewhere since it's NiB and I don't believe they have any NiBs. Second one is a 5.56... it's got a Bear Creek BCG for sure. I'd like to build another one in 204 Ruger, but that's a long term project. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  15. I built a couple of side chargers, one 5.56 and one 300 BO, using Bear Creek side charger parts. I've had no problems with either. I got both sets while they were running the BCG/Upper combo sale at $125.
