    What .22 to buy

I just bought a brand new blued Ruger Mark III the other day for $288. I love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have the Bushnell AR Trophy Red Dot First Strike (5 MOA dot) on my Smith & Wesson 686+ .357 mag w/6-inch barrel. It allows me to shoot real tight groups at 50 yards and it hasn't lost it's zero. I like it. One thing you should know about this scope though. It has a light meter on it that adjusts the dot brightness according to how much ambient light there is. If there is no light it just turns off. You can't use it in the dark. In fact it doesn't have an on/off switch. You turn it off by putting the cover on it and blocking out the light.
  3. Wow! you guys got me covered. I'm glad I asked here and I appreciate your help guys. I think I will visit this site regularly. Chris
  4. Hi, I am not at all new to guns, but am new to the AR platform. I have a Ruger AR556 that is stock right out of the box. I am interested in adding either a scope (probably Nikon P223 or Bushnell) or a red-dot. My front sight is also a gas block, so I don't think I can remove it very easily. Can anyone advise me on mounting a scope or red-dot in such a way that my view isn't blocked by my front sight? Do I need to mount it higher than the front sight? I may want to mount a Nikon P223 scope with rings that allow me to mount a red-dot on top, which may put the red-dot above the above the front sight. Can someone that has more experience than me please give me some ideas on this? Thanks in advance, Chris
