    BCG upgrade questions

My BCG is fine so, I decided to keep it and got me a new deer rifle instead for the up coming season if my health will allow this year Thanks!
  3. I put a Vortex Strikefire 2 on my ar and was just curious about how well the dot should be centered in my field of view or, is it pretty forgiving about it's position. I kind or figured if I'm shooting for groups at 25-50yd. it should be pretty much centered but, I'm used to shooting common rifle scopes so any clarification from those more experienced at shooting with red dots would be much appreciated!
  4. I was thinking of upgrading the bcg in my Ruger AR 556 and was wondering if it would be an improvement going to a BCM (complete) bcg or, just go with the BCM bolt only? I would also, like to upgrade to a better charging handle. Thanks!
  5. I was curious, would a Palmetto State Armory 5.56 Premium Full Auto Bolt Carrier Group - 8779 be considered an upgrade to the bolt carrier Group in a Ruger AR 556? Thanks!
  6. I've had this bottle for a while and have used it on several different types of firearms but, on a couple of them I thought the oil was becoming sticky/gummy has anyone else used this and came to the same conclusion? Also, would it be good to squirt a little in the two holes on my BCG on my AR? Thanks for all replies!

    Red dot dumb question LOL!

Thanks, that will save me some ammo!
  11. I put a Vortex Strikefire II on my gun the top adj. has arrow and a U for up, the windage knob has a R for right. For an example, if my POI is left of POA, do I turn the windage knob in the direction of the arrow marked R? or, does it work the opposite of a regular rifle scope? I assume the answer would be the same for the elevation adjustment. Sorry about the dumb question!
  12. I had an adjustable gas block installed yesterday and was wondering, what kind of thread locker I should use (if any) so the screw won't turn its self out of adjustment after quite a few rounds have been fired? Thanks for all advice!
