    work boots?

i was wondering if you guys had any good work boot recommendations for construction, walking on gravel, rocks, inclines, im sure nails are gonna be around etc. ankle support is a HUGE must as i have extremely bad feet. i prefer 8in boots, and nothing too insulated because ill be in high heat. i technically go as high as nicks or whites but id prefer $300 or less Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

heh nature is boring, and requires a lot of patience and investment ($5k+ easy) if you wanna get into the fun stuff like birds and wildlife. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    work boots?

problem is youtube is full of a lot of people that work very freaking hard and have a lot of passion for their art form but it doesn’t translate to their videos, they make it seem like its so easy to get started its not. school or apprenticeship would definitely be a really good thing, with photography editing is a very very huge part of it, it is possible to teach yourself but its so much easier to learn from someone else. ive tried teaching myself as a whole but.. its not easy in the slightest and it requires a “big” investment (for a teen at least) heres some of my pictures: also my dad tries teaching me to drive but he works from 7am-7pm 6 days a week and is always too tired by the time he gets home. not necessarily a bad place to start, as theres a lot of models and hipstery people that want their picture taken in that area. cant say much about the driving part as im in the same boat.. but for me its cause i have no one to teach me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    work boots?

yeah i plan on eventually doing that, just a deal i couldnt pass up on to at least try the logger style of boots before i invest $600. got 3 pairs for $200 total when one pair was originally $160 so i figured freak it why not. end goal is to plan on getting Nicks or Whites as i absolutely love the logger style, my feet are lovin it. only complaint i have about them so far is the leather seems to be pretty soft, i hit the toe on the edge of a stone stair and idk if i just caught it right but it scuffed it pretty deeply. idk what some obenaufs LP will do to it yet though. i ended up getting some georgia boots loggers to try out before i get into Nicks. my first question is should i put on the Obenaufs heavy duty LP before or after i break them in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    hey knife people!

im getting a custom EDC fixed made for work and what steel do yall think would be best? the two options are 1095 and 1070+CR. initially i thought 1095 as i know thats a good worker steel from what i remember but the maker warned me about potential corrosion and i was just concerned cause ill be working on the coast in florida and with such high humidity and salt content i didnt know which to pick. which do yall think would be best? decides im probably going to return it for a refund. i asked the maker and his excuses were “all my edges are like that, the more you use it and hand sharpen it itll work itself out” and “grinding by hand has its faults youll never get symmetrical” which is wrong, ive talked to a few makers all with significantly less experience and are capable of doing it. instead of offering to fix it for free or even for a slight fee he just immediately went to refund, so thats the route im probably going to go. mind you only 25% of the blade is remotely sharp when he told me “be careful its razor sharp” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Retcop heres some more pictures of it, right now my problems with it are the leather sheath seems to be pretty dry, i believe the profiling is off, and its not sharp at all really. (the profiling im not sure of as i dont know much about that part) heres the profiling: (directly facing the blade) (directly facing the spine) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

what are your uses for the knife? and whats the budget? the go to to recommend is always the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 or the Spyderco Para 3 both of which have good steels and are around the $120 area usually. the Para 3 is the same design as the Paramilitary 2 but smaller, my favorite part about them is the compression lock system Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
