  1. Update: it’s been over a month and a half and just recharged the battery for the first time. Mantis states the battery lasts up to 100,000 rounds. Yeah, I think it’s paid for. My skills have improved. Much faster target acquisition from ready, follow up shots, secondary weapon transition, etc... the list goes on. I don’t use the app as much as I could. But there is plenty of time. I may start using it on the next 100k virtual rounds. I’m glad I got it. Zero regrets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Having simulated recoil would make it the ultimate tool. Probably at a couple hundred on the cost as well. I’m sure that’s the next gen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Didn’t get the 10x. Just used the laser for hits and scoring. Mostly I use it without any tech. High ready, shoot and move, target Transition, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. By my math the trainer is more than paid for @ .60¢ per round. Conservatively. An adequately charged unit increased the trigger hammer reset time to live fire. The training app works well in recording hit location, times and percentages. Make sure your target is well lit. My fluorescent bulbs mess with the apps target recognition. I assume it’s due to the pulsing that our eyes don’t pick up on. Standard or LED is my recommendation. This is a buy. With or without ammo shortages... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Btw: I believe you get a code for “pro” access to the mantis app. This means your phone scores your hits with the laser through various drills. Will report back when I figure it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well, mantis recommends pairing it with one of their accuracy trainers. From what I see, it analyzes muzzle deviation from trigger and recovery. Can be used for live fire as well. I haven’t dove too deep on it yet. I do different drills with the Glock DF mag. Trigger speed and shot placement with trigger. Then try to bring it together. The laser on the BB does both. I blew through another 150 virtual rounds today. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Web search “mantis x Blackbeard” Videos will take you to a few YouTube channels. Not many yet. But they are out there. It’s just two parts. Bolt and mag. That’s the beauty of it. It would be wonderful if dry fire came out with a non electric spring model. But this is the best out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I just received the blackbeard this afternoon. I received it in lest than a week. Although I do live one 3 hours away. Caveat: Let me preface this by saying that It has been way too long since I shot the AR and by no means an expert. So my trigger speed in this platform is questionable. -I figured I may as well spend the 20$ or so and get it with a laser. Glad I did. -Assembly is a no brainer. Just make sure the mag clicks. -the laser (for me) is close enough for jazz right out of the box. I.e. Bang on with my red dot. I zeroed it with a bore lasers for 25 yards. -reset response is good. Not sure the speed is as fast as real life. (See caveat). Results: -I would say it’s a buy. -Spend a few extra coin and get the laser. You can turn it off if you desire. But it’s there should you want it. -I likely fired 150 “virtual” rounds in the maiden 15 minutes (before I got called away to tend to other matters). Try doing that while having to rack each and every time. The system was 230 $ shipped. Do the math! The “dry fire mag” and “Blackbeard” are no-Brianers for trigger time. Even if ammo was not a costly endangered species. Use code.... kidding. I am not a paid reviewer. But I should be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. After 2 years using my Glock Dry Fire mag with great success, I just ordered the mantis Blackbeard system for the AR. I cannot begin to calculate how many dry fire reps I’ve performed. Saving ammo usage in these trying times. I probably recouped the cost in the first hour. With that, I am going to give the Blackbeard a try. I have considerably less AR trigger time. If it’s anything like my beloved Dry Fire mag.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hey all I’m considering picking up the mag-n-grip for my pcc cmmg. It’s reported to be about the size of a Glock compact. Holds a spare mag inside. My thought process is my comfort level with Glock grip size. The only detractor would be reaching the bolt release. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Update: i purchased a CAA micro Roni. And can say that i much prefer the Hera to the CAA. Far more accurate and stable being all aluminum. The Roni is lighter and conceals down to a very small footprint. So it works better as a backpack gun or maybe under the seat of an automobile. I really wanted to like the Roni. But the accuracy was all over the place for me at 35 yards and beyond using multiple holographic and sights. I would not see any reason to use the Roni any closer than that when a handgun is much more maneuverable. MHO Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. The GB holds bile produced by the liver. Bile helps with digestion. Releases as needed. Bile aids in fat digestion. Without the regulation of bile release, you tend to have oily stool. You’ll see this with more Fatty fried foods. You can also have nutrient absorption issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Received the cz sights. Going to mount/laser zero them in the morning and hopefully hit the range soon. I’ll report ASAP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ive seen the see all sights in my search. I almost purchased one during a sale. I’ll look for the next sale depending on how the cz go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This locked it in for me. I got similar results. Albeit not bench accuracy like this guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
