    Hunting/Lightweight AR help

I understand that but my shots should be well under 100 yards through swamps and woods in hot weather so right now I'm focusing on weight reduction. When I find private land and a field to hunt over I'll probably go for a better trajectory. I really do appreciate all the suggestions. It's given me a lot of options I didn't consider Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Faxon lists their 14.5 with a pinned brake at just under 20oz. If neither companies numbers are right then I wouldn't be surprised but I'm just working off the data available since I don't have any of these parts available for an actual weigh. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

That number came from Wilson themselves. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Hunting/Lightweight AR help

I was looking at the Mad Dog Weapon System family but all of their barrels are over 2lbs. I want to stay under 22oz (no reason, just the number I put in my head). Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I think the 300 HAM'R might fit the bill. The LE profile is a touch under 19oz which is where I'm hoping to stay and it'll fit my weird caliber bill. Thank you very much Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    Hunting/Lightweight AR help

It'll be for walking through the woods looking for public land hogs so I'd like it to be light as possible without breaking the bank. I did some research and found a build that should total 5.5 lbs pre optic. I do reload so really anything is open game. I've found that the wildcat cartridges I want to try tend to have heavier barrels though. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. Looking to build/buy a lightweight upper for hunting hogs. Are there any manufacturers that have a lightweight upper set up for under $700? It'll be a 15 pattern so looking at .223/5.56, 6.8, etc. I've got a lower setup that weighs about 2 pounds and I'm looking for an upper under 4lbs. Thanks a ton Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
