  1. Texas is right to work. I cant say if this is true or not. However, I was told Friday that all employees who are not 100% project billable will be receiving a letter from HR. All will be agreeing to a 10% across the board pay reduction for a minimum of 9 months. This is in order to help the company stay afloat/remain profitable for having kept us on full time and full salary during this period. I signed a contract and don't have to sign this voluntary reduction. How long do you think it would be/will be before I'm laid off if I don't sign? I'd predict less than a week. And this is a multi-national company with 60,000+ employees So if this company kept the employees on at full pay, I can see this happening. The relief money is for support from lost job and wages, not a bonus on top of earned wages. And no, I don't qualify and my 10% reduction is more than 10x the relief. Houston now, but raised my kids in Sulphur. They're still there close to mama. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  4. We stop often as it's a regular stop going to see the kids and grands. Good breakfast tacos. Chopped beef is above average. Best bathrooms always. Gas is less expensive than most places, or minimally the same price. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

    .223 ammo deal

Thanks for the commentary and enlightenment. I'm not a big Dicks customer so I guess the "news" passed me by. I earned the giftcards in two golf tournament Sept and Nov. Needing nothing for golf, I thought I could do something with my guns. Ammo was a good deal. I understand the rationale for not shopping there. I often vote my politics with my money and encourage others to do the same so thanks for the information concerning their behavior. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. First, I'm an electrician by trade though no longer use it and have not since licensing became required. Not because I couldn't pass but was and am in management=no need. I had a similar issue years ago. It sounds like you have a loose connection on one of the main legs either in the panel or in the meter base. You should call a licensed electrician. If it's in the meter, electric company may become involved. The repair may require power to be turned off. (Should though some electricians may work it hot. If yes, make sure he's a qualified lineman) Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

    .223 ammo deal

So fill me in. How are they screwing people over? Yeah, I'm not thrilled they took out assault style rifles and no means of seeing firearms online. That screws them IMO. Seriously, I have no idea what they've done. I'm not overly fond of Dicks but I've got $550 in gift cards to spend. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. Dicks Sporting Goods has a good deal on ..223 and .22lr right now. .223 worked out to .25 a round. Boxes of 200 Fiocchi 55gr FMJ brass cased for $55.97 and another 10% of that price. This was loose in box. 1000 rounds of boxed 22lr for $31. That was $34.xx less another 10% Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Personally, I'd help her inventory them, and provide her pricing to an individual and to a dealer so she can maximize sales. You could even offer to sell them for her for cost + 2-5%. Then she would not have to try and sell guns amongst all the other administrative things she has going. I have a list made for all my toys like this for my spouse and what she can expect to get for them. Mine are guns, bass guitars, and old cars. Bro code goes away on passing. You can sell what he spent as better than a savings account as few, if any, of his purchases lost value during his hold of them Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. I asked about Colt because they were, in my younger days, the go to .45. I'm looking at some around 800 so that's in the range. I don't really have a budget, but I'm a frugal guy. I can buy one of the $500 1911s but then I wont be happy because it wont be accurate enough. Yes, I could hit the bad guy but not the center of the target which is where it will be used most. I don't need or want a custom as I would feel I wasted $1000 (more than I spend) to sit while I shoot other stuff or could own other stuff with the excess 1000. Purpose? Because I want one. Home defense maybe. I've got five others for that too. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. Agreed but the new iteration is still producing just under the remington umbrella. Looking at the Expert now as a quick purchase or may wait on the Springfield Range Officer Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

    New Old Guy

I've had class III fever. Built, in the old days, auto ARs when you could still buy the parts. Loved it. My dream gun is a WW II BAR but when touchable just couldn't pull the trigger and buy one. Havent seen one in years now. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Would you give me your opinions on the newer Colt 1911s. I'm seeing them at "reasonable" prices but havent had one in many years. Any particular model you'd recommend? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
