  1. Just wanted to let you all know I put the upper on a known functional lower and it worked no issues I’m going to change the buffer and the spring Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I checked the gas key with soapy water it’s sealed, I pulled my buffer and spring from that gun and another and wouldn’t you know the spring is almost 3 coils longer than the one from my other carbine. I’m thinking maybe this is the issue? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So you think switching to a full weight carrier would fix the problem? That I could do easily just so see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 18 inches Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Someone said with all the fouling on the carrier I should check the gas key as it could be leaking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. It’s clean at this point, the fouling was below the gas key right behind the Bolt And also on the hammer it was black and wiped away easily. This is what is leading me to believe it’s some sort of gas leak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So I just finished my first build a 224 Valkyrie with a low mass carrier and adjustable gas block. I tried about 4 different types of Ammo 2 it will cycle no problem 2 even with the block all the way open it won’t cycle. I’ve also noticed excessive fowling on the bolt carrier and even the hammer. The rifle has a rifle length gas system a carbine buffer a 5.4oz buffer weight and a low mass carrier. Does this issue sound like a buffer weight issue or is the gas tube maybe out of alignment with the key on the buffer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks and yes sorry they are 1:6.5 I’ve looked at so many today I loose track. I will say I really wanted a 20inch barrel but I have a feeling the 18 will do just find for my needs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Can you send me a link please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I saw that but it’s a 1/7 twist and I really want the 6.5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks I was on their website a lot today and I have reservations about the light barrel myself and may just go with the 20 inch fluted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Any suggestions on lightweight barrels or brands that will all’s headspace a bolt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the reply, I would pretty much say there is no budget for this rifle I will just build as slowly as I have to, to be able to purchase the parts needed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So I own a few Ar’s and have limited experience in tinkering with them. I want to do my first build ever, I am thinking of doing a predator set up that I will also use for long range plinking. I am going to start on the lower in the next few weeks. This build is going to take time as I am going to go all out buying the best parts I can possibly find. So guys what would you suggest for the lower, I want a 2 stage trigger, Ambi safety, and I would like my stock to be adjustable and maybe rubberized. What do you guys think! Thanks in advance for the advice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
