This has gotten out of hand

I can not say it enough, I absolutely love this rifle. I have added a few thing and I've done a few things since the last post. I bought some FDE paint and sprayed my light, did some color fill, and removed the CMC trigger and sprayed the trigger. I added more hand grip strips from BCM, and a Strike industries extended mag release button. Few buddies of mine went out Coyote hunting, we had a blast. We got into them pretty well. We had 4 guys including myself, I shot 2. One guy shot 3, the other shot 1 each. My buddy took us all out to his honey hole. With one exception, None disclosure agreement... haha.... No, not literally. However, I do know the importance of keeping things to yourself. I've had a some really good Elk hunting places ruined by loud mouth friends. I had a few GoPros and we got some great shots, when I get time to making it into a video, I'll make sure to post that up. While we were out there I used my Swarovski range finders that can accurately read to 1000 yrds, to setup some targets at various distances. At 300 yards this gun shoots on average a 1.5 MOA. I was shooting 77g Nosler rounds. I had a few hit hit 1 MOA, not sure if that was luck or accuracy. So I feel safe with saying that 1.5 MOA was the most consistent. couldn't be happier with this setup. BCM barrel is by far the best money spent. Along with the Fail Zero Boron nickle coated BCG. I know there's better BC out on the market. However, for the money. This one is great. Keep in mind that I have very limited experience with other manufacturers. I've had a few, and out of thise few I can say this is the best one so far. I've been wanting to weigh this one, it feels way lighter than my other AR's. The BCM hand rail and the enhanced light weigh barrel makes a big difference IMO. It feels great to carry around for an extended period of time. I have a Kimber 300 SWM ultralight, this AR feels about the same. About this paint I picked up, it's Rustoleum camo paint, it's not an exact match to Magpul FDE, but it does match up really well with Bravo Company's FDE. All the things I have on my gun from various manufacturers, every one of their FDE is a different shade, the Ergo grip looks like there's more green to it, the KNS pins and strike industries match up well, but still darker than Bravo company. It doesn't bother me like some other people who just can't stand the fact that they're different shades of color. I'm happy with it and that's all that matters. Sorry for the long post. I wasn't intentionally trying to write a novel.

Twist Question, Is 1:7 OK for 55 gr Ammo?

I agree, I'll be finding out this weekend. I'm planning on doing some outdoor shooting out in the west desert. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

That was the first thing I had done. I finished the build Friday night. Went to gun shop Saturday morning and had them pin and weld it. Then I hit their range for a few hours. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Twist Question, Is 1:7 OK for 55 gr Ammo?

I have a 1:7 twist chrome lined. Shot a 55g yesterday at 25 yards. I feel like it preformed very well over all Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Went to the range yesterday, put about 180 rounds through it. I'm very happy with the way it performs. By far the best shooting AR I've ever had. Recoil is minimal, relatively not that loud. Shoots flat, accurate. I'm very happy with the Sig Romeo 4H and the Vortex magnifier. This was from 25 yards. Pretty happy with it overall. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I've gotta say, my favorite part is the muzzle device. They designed it to be able to remove a .75 gas block. So when its pinned and welded it isn't permanently land locked on there.

Everything showed up today. Came home from work with a ton of boxes sitting on the counter. Then I spent the next couple of hours assembling it all. I can't wait to get out and break it in. I'll be heading out tomorrow afternoon. The only thing I don't have is a backup sights. I'm not sure that I'll really need them. I feel like I got some great parts for my first build. I have about 2000 rounds to play with for now. With this chrome lined barrel I can really let'er rip. This is my first build that I had hand picked every part. Thanks everyone. I have this conflict with winter, on one hand. I love snowmobiling, and on the other. I love shooting out doors. There's only so much fun you can have in a 50yrd long indoor range. Haha. I took my wife and our boys out a week ago to this local spot. It was so cold, didn't bother me much. But the others were taking turns sitting in the Jeep to get warm. My wife will go, if it's warm. She really don't care for the indoor ranges. Not as much as I do. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

This was the first time I ever tried to color fill. It's hard to find something that matches FDE really well. I think I failed in the aspect Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
