This has gotten out of hand

Thanks everyone. I have this conflict with winter, on one hand. I love snowmobiling, and on the other. I love shooting out doors. There's only so much fun you can have in a 50yrd long indoor range. Haha. I took my wife and our boys out a week ago to this local spot. It was so cold, didn't bother me much. But the others were taking turns sitting in the Jeep to get warm. My wife will go, if it's warm. She really don't care for the indoor ranges. Not as much as I do. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

This was the first time I ever tried to color fill. It's hard to find something that matches FDE really well. I think I failed in the aspect Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I don't have it yet, I just ordered it last night. Sorry, after I looked at my order again it isn't a flash hider. I ordered a Aero VG6, It did say that it works for a 14.5" barrels it has a hole for a pin, I think. 2.21 inches

Yea, its bad... I'm in the process of getting my wife excited about it as well... it seemed to work with snowmobiling and my Jeep and Moab. I'm going to sell one of my guns to get her a AR .22LR. Something we can both use to have fun and cheaper to use for practice. If I can get her to love it, as much as I do. She won't bat an eye when I say. Let's go buy some ammo! Not saying she does now, she is amazing and leaves me to my devices. Most of the time I think that she doesn't want to know how much I spend.
  9. I'm not new to AR's, I had one 5 years ago. Sold it and regretted ever since, I picked up a Colt AR from a good friend 8 years ago that's a ton of fun to shoot. It's Match Target Hbar 556. With a 18" barrel A2 stock with the old school carry handle. I don't shoot that one much. With that said.... I've had this urge or a sickness of a need for another one, or two. Started off by doing a lot research. Visited a lot of local shops, spoke with a lot of guys behind the counter that just wanted to sell me the cheapest AR on the wall, any time I said, I have a budget in mind. They would reach for a cheap gun, then walk away to "help someone else" I walked out of a lot of them because of this. I had a good idea of what I wanted. I wanted a decent platform to work off of, upgrade as I deemed it necessary. Ended up at this shop close to me. He introduced me to Aero precision. I looked at 20 different builds they had on the wall, overwhelmed and not getting much feed back from the guy behind the counter. I picked one and went with it. It had an Aero upper, lower, Faxon barrel, cheap handrail. Cheap stock, cheap, cheap, cheap cheap. I started doing even more research and learned a lot of things. Triggers, drop in triggers BCG's barrels... so on and so on. The first gun, I purchased around the first week of January. I ended up with, Aero precision Pew Pew edition lower, regular Aero upper. 16" Diamond fluted barrel, cheap unknown name floating hand rail, however... I do like it. Aero Pew Pew edition, lower Aero upper Ergo grip FDE Hogue stock FDE Strike industries angled fore grip FDE Cheap - Nc star 2-7x32 scope w/QD mount. W/ LED redicle. Faxon 16" multi cal diamond fluted Cheap muzzle break Aero BCG group CMC drop in trigger 2lb Strike industries ejection port door FDE Radian ambi safety selector POF charging handle SPI ambi mag release B.A.D lever Then I get another bug up my ass, I got my step son and brother in-law to do a longer drawn out build. Collectively we would purchase not only the parts we wanted, but bits at a time. We ended up at Ready Gunner close to here. We all 3 purchased Aero M4E1 lowers builder bundle. This is where it's gotten out of hand. My brother in-law called my the next day, hey... when are we going to buy our next thing? I'm like, this was supposed to be a slow build (that's how I had to sell it to my wife) due to all of the money I had just spent on the first AR. There we were, later that afternoon. My brother in-law completed his build with cheaper parts, mostly because he's impatient and wanted it now. For me, I kinda turned into the same way. So far I have Aero M4 lower, upper. Aero builder parts Aero buffer tube Silent capture spring 3.3 oz Radian Raptor charging handle Radian ambi safety selector Magpul tac light mount Sure fire tac pro light CMC 2lb drop in trigger (again) Fail Zero nickle BCG (again) BCM stock Sig Romeo 4H + Vortex Magnifier Ergo grip Strike industries door Last night I ordered the rest of what I needed, my wife was a great mood due to Valentine's day. Hand rail is still undecided Promise, I wasn't trying to write a novel haha. When I figure out uploading pictures. I do that. Like I said in beginning, got out of hand.
