  1. I'll have to start with trying to return the one I have if they got a replacement I'll try it funds are super low at the moment so buying a new one might not happen for some time. Does it matter if the barrel and upper receiver fit is loose and sloppy before cranking the nut on? Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
  2. Great info there so a barrel that looks good to the naked eye could have microscopic imperfections. I just couldn't be more flustered after spending 2500 to build what I thought would be a quality ar when I could have spent 600 on a plane jane ar and shoot alot more consistent Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
  3. checked out x-caliber thay have the 18" 223 wylde im looking for problem is its 300 for the barrel and another 120 to have the flute cuts and shipping comes to 425 and a 13 week wate i want a black barrel with silver flutes doesnt seem like there is many make em this way the only other one simular is a black rain and iv never seen just a barrel for sale and if i had to pay 125 for there muzzle break do i really want to know how much a barrel would be. how does a barrel be bad in the first place is it slightly bent are the lands not deep enough over sized?
  4. I don't know if they can exchange barrels for me like most there out of stock hard to find much in stock I'll have to give them a call on Monday. Is a .233 wylde barrel better then a 556 Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
  5. I got the barrel from ar15part.com at 200 bucks I thought for sure it would be better then the average cheap ones going for 80 to 100 bucks I really don't want to give up the spiral cut look is there any good ones that have that same look Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
  6. about me: this is the first ar-15 build and ar i ever owned and really shot for the matter About the gun: lower is a sharps bros the jack vary cool skull and a rise armament RA-535 trigger vary crisp The upper is aero precision m4e1 grendel hunter with a lantec enhanced Nickel Boron BCG has a 223 Wylde, 18" Stainless Steel Bear Claw Fluted Heavy Barrel, 1:8 Twist with a black rain ordnance pineapple muzzle break handguard is a 12 inch unique ar's skeleton. a tyrant designs mod v2 grip adaptive tactical stock strike industries ART-T7 advanced receiver extension with h2 buffer and the other small parts that complete the rifle. started out with a vortex strike eagle 1-6 scope and a 60 dollar vaper 1 pcs mount could not get a group at 25 yards so i took back the mount and scope i got a leupold mark ar 1 pc scope mont for 100 bucks and exchanged the scope for a new one tried it still couldnt hold a group so passed it to a guy who knows alot about rifles and sighting them in he said 55gr for a 1/8 twisted was to light and loaded 68gr and he couldnt get a group eather so he said get rid of the scope so i exchanged it for a 650 dollar leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40 so today i finily got out and tried to sight it in no luck 25yards with a bench rest 5 shots my group was 4 inches so i know the scope and mount are not the issue tried 50gr 55gr and 68gr ammo nothing and i dont think even steel case would give that kinda group at 25 yards. im lost here on what the issue is if tried shimming the outside of the barrel ext for a tighter fit still didnt help also shimmed the the barrel stop with 2x .0001 shims to see if the nut is snugging up. and befor anyone asked yet its torqued to 35+. any ideas or did i miss anything
