  1. Welcome to the newbies. Yes, we are still around. Just been very busy and out of town a lot. Carmaaz
  2. I couldn't do this. I would sell my home before I would sell any of my guns to pay legal expenses to defend myself against a law that shouldn't exist in the first place. Carma KeepAndBearArms.com Founder Selling Personal Firearm Collection to Pay Gun- charge Related Legal Expenses Own One of Angel Shamaya's Guns, Help Out a Worthy Cause May 25, 2006 KeepAndBearArms.com founder Angel Shamaya is selling most of his personal firearm collection to help defray legal expenses that resulted from gun- related charges in Michigan. Although the court ordered the police to return Shamaya's firearms, the legal expenses are steep -- so he's now selling those same guns. Shamaya says, "I had intended to leave these firearms to my son as his inheritance one day, but I have legal expenses to pay right now. My ultimate goal is to put this mess behind me and raise my son -- a far higher priority than owning extra guns." The guns for sale include rifles, pistols and shotguns. Shamaya has made arrangements with a local licensed gun dealer to complete the transactions under federal and state law and ship the firearms to the new owners. Anyone interested in any of these firearms can go to the following website for details, descriptions, pictures and direction on how to make a purchase: http://www.marbut.com/angel/AngelSellingGuns.htm "There are some really nice guns in this collection," says Shamaya. "I appreciate the support I have received from kind-hearted people in dealing with this nonsense. If you'd like to cherry pick one of my firearms, be my guest."
  3. Bloomberg’s upcoming high profile “symposium on gun violence” is going to be one more gun grab at the expense of the legal gun owners he claims he is trying to protect. "Believe this or not, I am a defender of the Second Amendment. I see nothing wrong with people having guns," said Bloomberg on his weekly WABC radio show. http://www.armedfemalesofamerica.com/bloomberg.htm
  4. http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/14297518.htm Laura Nicoli calls it stress relief. ``You can go back to work the next day and not want to shoot anyone,'' the Rodeo resident said through an infectious laugh.
  5. Sorry for being so silent folks. Armed Females has been offline for about a week due to server problems and then locating a new web host. We now have a more reliable and robust server. File transfers should be completed soon. Whew! Glad that's over with Carma
  6. Check out the awesome Flash video at: Armed Females of America It was made by a gun shop in Salt Lake Carma
  7. The Liberty Zone I thought I would make this shameless plug for my story written by a good friend of mine and recently posted on her Blog.
  8. Clemson University paper to raffle AK-47 "The conservative Tiger Town Observer is going to raffle an AK-47 to raise operating capital for the free campus newspaper. Some of the money will be used for self-defense classes for female students of Clemson University."
  9. I have been ripped off on EBay before, but there are good deals too. I am rebuilding a classic Mustang and needed a replacement 2 speed wiper switch. Well, I find out there are not any new switches and there is no way to rebuild them...so I turned to EBay. I found an original 65 Mustang 2 speed switch for $15 (shipping inc) new in the orginal FoMoCo box. My mech was stunned by the find and the deal. I was certainly prepared to pay a lot more. The deals are there and so are the bad ones. Dennis (Sorry, I didn't know I was signed on as Carmaaz)
  10. Right to Carry: A Feminist Issue "My ability to have a gun for self-defense is central to my concept of freedom and safety in a hostile world. Anyone who tries to take that right is trying to take the only tool that makes me the physical equal of a man." It looks like there are at least some women speaking up on their right to carry. Carma
  11. Police warn of parking lot & biz burglaries Tarter said vehicle burglars are targeting large parking lots where many cars are parked. He said some are targeting motorists who have gun advocacy or hunting bumper stickers. "When they see the NRA or hunting stickers, they know there's a chance guns may be inside," he said. This story is especially true when you park in a lot where the owner forbids firearms. This is one more good reason for ignoring "No Guns Allowed" signage. Carma
  12. Or, there could be less to the story than this! How many times does the media exagagerate anything regarding firearms?
  13. Teen Nabbed After Gun Photos Online http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/23/...in1340282.shtml "The photos were very disturbing, and while the content was not a direct threat, we just felt it was important for us to take appropriate disciplinary action," So the answer is to arrest the kid for posting pictures of himself with rifles and handguns. Outrageous!!! Carma
  14. Thanks everyone. We will probably need a lot of guidance before we get the forum figured out. In Freedom Carma
