  1. I have a self built 300 black out and a 5.56. The both use the same parts as much as possible. the 5.56 shoots great and has never had a problem. The 300 blackout the pivot pin for the trigger slides out far enough after about 10 rounds that the tripper wont pull. I have taken both lowers apart and measured holes, slots, and pins, and cant find any differences between the two lowers. Does anyone else have this problem with their 300 blackout? Could the recoil from the 300 blackout be different enough that it is causing it to work its way out? How can I fix this issue? David
  2. Hey guys, I just bought my first AR15 a month ago. I recently had a problem with it that I need help figuring out. Yesterday, I bought new springs (Hammer Spring, Trigger Spring, and Disconnector Spring), and replaced them in my AR15. Later, I noticed that after I have fired a round and I go to reset the trigger, the trigger will not reset, but instead as I release the trigger the hammer will fire again! This is a problem. I put back in the factory springs into the trigger group to see if it would go back to functioning as normal, but it still does it. It will fire, and then as I am releasing the trigger to let it reset, it will fire again. Does anyone know how to fix this? It will not operate correctly with the new springs or with the original factory springs, so it has to be something else. The following is a link to a video of me explaining and demonstrating my problem. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
  3. I just acquired an S&W 1006. What little I have found so far suggests that the trigger characteristics that the pistol left the factory with are pretty much the ones that the owner is stuck with on these Third Generation designs. Anyone know of aftermarket enhancements? Any legendary gunsmiths who work their magic on the trigger? Or should I just be happy with the stock trigger?
  4. Hi, I'm new to the forums. Long time rifle shooter, but have generally been using lever guns and bolt action rifles. I just got interested in AR platform, so assembled my first lower. I bought an Anderson Manufacturing stripped lower and acquired the LPK, extension tube and buttstock. My LPK is the standard CMMG that has the various parts in different colored ziplock bags. It's got the MILSPEC trigger and hammer. I also substituted the JP lighter trigger springs. As I pull the trigger, it feels to me that it is a single stage. I don't get any of the first stage take up before it breaks. I've seen online that CMMG sells a separate two-stage trigger. So, here's my question: Is the MILSPEC trigger that comes in the CMMG kit truly a single stage, or am I just not feeling the take up of the first stage? Thanks for your help.

  7. I bought a slightly used Colt Match Target HBAR, 20" Barrel w fixed carry handle, MT6601 and is a couple of years old. I was told it has an aftermarket two-stage trigger on it (haven't shot it yet bc I dont have any gold to trade for ammo). How could I tell what kind of trigger it has, or at least confirm it has an after market trigger? I can't see any markings when I remove the lower and inspect it. Seller is away for some time so I can't confirm with him. Any thoughts?
