When you go to a football or basketball game you don't expect to get a ball. But in baseball grown men show up with gloves and can get a souvenir.BTW,when you show up at the park, scout who's around you;that pitiful looking kid might appreciate that ball more than you.Give it up.

Been there, done that. It's a nice feeling to make a kid happy :)

Now just waiting for the resident misanthrope to show up and crap on your "silly sports thread".

I hate crowds so I don't go to many sporting events, in fact if they auction the titans out of Nashville I would be tickled to death. That being said, I used to be a huge baseball fan. It is still my favorite sport but ever since they went on strike I just not into anymore. The socialist have taken over the greatest American past time.

And for the record I have been a braves fan since 1980, and if I ever meet Bobby Cox I'm gonna kick him square in the junk.

I was at a Cubs game with some friends the weekend after Bobby Cox was busted for smacking his wife.

Our seats were about 10 rows back, right over the Braves' dugout. Needless to say, he was heckled and heckled mightily. The Braves called security, but the Andy Frain(monkey suit security) just stood there and laughed
