Bmpredator556
How's it going guys, was just looking for some quick answers before buying a rear iron sight, so I don't look like a jackass at my local gun store I got a question, I recently purchased a front clamp on flip up iron sight for my vmatch gasblock, It sits on my bushmaster predator, I was just wondering if I go to my local gun store can I buy any rear flip up sight? I might not get alot of answers because no one really knows what the heck a clamp on iron sight is lol but if you have any knowledge of this topic of iron sights please share, appreciate any input thank you for reading take care
Nwatson99
Technically yes, however if your front sight is not made for the gas block if the height is less or more than the upper receiver then the set will not work. Gas blocks with picatiiny rails on the top should be the same height as the lower and some are less, then you have the low profile which are not even close, I have straight edged some gas blocks and they were higher than the upper receiver. Best sets you can get are the sights that are same plane which the front will attach to the free floating rails.
Psywarrior
What neil said. Also, if the front sight is plastic, you want to get it off the gas block any way because it will melt.
Pvt Wulf USMC
I have some clamp on iron sights. The rear one looks like a military A2 sight the front looks like the militarty with wide post. Have it mounted on top rail. Only problem is that you have to screw front sight way down and rear sight takes a lot of elevation clicks but it works. i think its way up or way down dont remember lol. Thank you guys take care
Psywarrior
Magpul is great products. Plus, support them for their stance on Colorado. Move them as far to the rear as you can. Bear in mind the location of sights on fixed carry handles. Also, the longer your sight radius, the more accurate your sights will be. Thank you guys take care Pee on Magpul and Troy. Buy A.R.M.S. flip ups. They make a really nice sight that is much more sleek than the Magpul and doesn't look like a damn Turtle. http://www.armsmounts.com/default.asp?mode=products&sub=sights Midwest also makes some nice stuff. Of course, some people don't like ARMS because of the psycho that runs the company.
