I was supposed to be working with a work buddy tomorrow on an ACOG issue but he had to bail because of family sickness. I had a day at the range planned with my SPR and 14.5 SBR.

I know it is short notice, but I have guns, ammo, targets and I am willing to travel about an hour and a half from Nashville, because I will have the SBR and no from 20 I wont be able to get into KY. If anybody wants to do some shooting, speak up. I can come to your range or you can come to mine.

If my Army vet son-in-law were not here visiting me, I would have tried getting you guys together, I'm sure you would like him.

He shots a 20" with iron sights, and is dang good at it.

Shoot me a PM if you would like to meet him sometime. He could use a range with longer distances.

I have had all 5 grandkids here this weekend, the only one missing is the other son-in-law. Five kids 5 years old and younger.

We have had a blast at the beach Friday, and yesterday we went to see the last flying SuperFortress in the world. I wish I could have afforded the 400 buck full plane ride fee. The P51 Mustang was 1,500 for a ride.

The boys have gotten to see hawks, twin fawns, and rabbitts up close in the yard.

Sounds like you have a busy enough weekend going on.

The B-29/P-51 team was down at the airport I work at the week of the 4th. It is quite a sight to see. It is a massive plane for its age. Did not know it was the last one flying, the news here reported it as the last one that has WWII combat hours still flyable.

Hello FATALITY,

I live in Nashville and just got my membership into the Sportsman's club here in Davidson County. So if you ever want to go shoot sometime, I can take 1 Guest to the range. It's a really nice place, they have a covered shooting area with 1 ceiling fan but adding more soon. The Range is 204 yards to the steel targets ( a half man cutout piece of armored steel), and then several smaller 6" and 8" plates down at the 200 yard mark. There is 1 Large 12" diameter & 2" thick target up at 300 or 350 yards it's resting on a chain between 2 tree's up in the woods, I couldn't find it last week when I went because of all of the leaves on the trees. But it's there because I've Nailed it time after time with my 6.5 Grendel's last year and the year before, and the reason it had me so excited is because of the Limitations at most Gun Ranges around here. Most of them have a Maximum 100 yard limit for rifles, unless you go to a Military Base like Fort Campbell or somewhere else that I'm not aware of? But this range has a nice flat 204 yard range with steel targets at that distance, but they also have a nice Board to put your targets at 50 & 100 yards. Then I noticed some smaller bases with a 2"x 4" frame & a Backboard to staple your targets too, if you need something to shoot at in your shooting lane if it's a busy day at the range..

Let me know if you'd like to go shooting at the range one day, or go to your range?

See Ya

Eric

Eric,

I have been a member there since 2010. I live about 5 minutes from there. There is another target farther up the hill at 266 too. I have some blaze orange I have been meaning to take and paid them 2 of them when I go but keep forgetting. That is where I was referring to when I said "my range"

I guess you have not been out there in a couple of weeks. They added 2 more ceiling fans and there are now a pair of reactive steel targets set at about 150 and 200.

You gonna be at the pistol bowling pin match this Saturday?

Come on down brother. Get you a hotel, and after some shooting we can get some of the best BBQ in TN.

You said you were going to have some of "the best" BBQ. That's the only place I know of that has any

Memphis has somse good q no doubt, but we have some pretty good stuff up here in Nashville too and without the threat of being attacked by a gang.
