gmor
sry to hear I'd look for another like it Saturn's are good little cars the cars weren't bad but the concept that GM needed a new division was. the uniqueness of the brand (no haggle sales, owners club, annual picnic, distinct and separate models) quickly faded into just another line indistinct from the other GM divisions. it rapidly faded into obscurity and then met its demise. popeye
Don't give up yet. I had a pickup that had a rod knock for almost 2 years. OTOH: 160k out of a Saturn ???
Rampy
It has actually been a great car, dead at 160k. Oh well Dang that sucks, going to miss that special back seat......we have a 94 Grand Am....with 230K miles & knock on wood it's still going strong...... smb5769
You sure its a rod knocking? My mom had an Olds cutlass ciera that had a bad harmonic balancer, and it made an awful knocking racket on acceleration and deceleration. Had the 3.8 L V6 in it. 160000 doesn't really seem like that much.
