WTB Dan Wesson Razorback 10mm's First run serial numbers 1-150

Recommended Posts

Everything mentioned here is all 10mm auto.

I have several already, #70, #111, #118, and #128 (just bought 105 and 106). I would like more of these if they are in near mint condition. I am also looking for just the black panel, "Red eye" DW grips also.

So, my highest wants are Dan Wesson Razorback 1 of 150

Dan Wesson 10mm CCO

Dan Wesson Bobtail

Springfield Omega Match

Springfield Linkless

I would still like to get another Colt National Match Gold Cup some time, preferably in a bright stainless polished finish. Also want to get a Bren Ten SFD (special Forces Dark) which is a black gun, and the SFL is the lighter colored gun. I would like either of those, and also an MP. I do NOT like the two-tone guns of any make including Bren.

Another gun I would like to get modified is a Para-Ordinance P16-40. I would like to have another barrel made to utilize the 10mm round but still have the unmodified original barrel to shoot .40 out of it.

I have cashed saved for the right guns and plenty to trade if needed

Do you load your own ammo. I have several thousand 10mm brass. All Starline some Nickel most brass. All are sized full length and polished once fired.

I don't reload yet, but I have more than half a 55 gallon drum full of 10mm spent cartridges.

Still looking for those guns listed above btw.

Been a long time since I posted that above, but still looking for more of the original DW Razorback's and/or "red eye" grips. Also, CCO or CBOB might interest me too.

I'd like to know if the low numbered Dan Wesson in 10 mm hold any intrinsic collector value,

or are numbers under 150 just important to this individual collector ?

Retcop:
They are largely just my personal favorites of the 10mm's and that is even comparing it to my S&W collection of all 6 models (my avatar).

The first 150 were effectively hand fitted by Bob Serva (who later founded https://www.fusionfirearms.com/ ) and crew and were mostly forged parts and match barrels. They did let the customer choose from a few different customization options like FCS, trigger, sights, hammer, checkering, and the 1 of 150 numbering and a Razorback is stamped on the slide, as well as any magazines purchased at the time. Mostly, it was to see if there was enough demand to warrant going into regular production. They are priced at a slight premium over the later ones, especially once CZ bought them. I don't know of any real issues with the CZ ones. They are still in production and the overall design really hasn't changed. What drew me to the original 150 is most of them have the grips that are black with the "red eye" DW logo and to me the contrast of the red, black, and stainless is just beautiful. I would be interested in just buying those factory grips if anyone wants to change theirs out. I now have 7 of the original 150 including a consecutive serial numbered pair and also #203. Some are almost so tight they barely function until you get a hundred or two rounds down the pipe.

You can't tell me they aren't sexy. :-) The brown one at the 8 o'clock position has the regular brown grips with the goldish colored DW logo is #203. The one at the 7 o'clock position is actually a custom polished PMA-10. For some reason in this picture the black on the grips look subdued and the red DW in the middle doesn't "pop" like they do in person.

I have two custom RZ Bobtails'  hand built by Keith at DW, one before the plant fire and one finished after RZBT0001 & 2, but 2 is a 38Super. Safe queens 01 has 50 to 75 rounds fired and 02 25 or 30 rounds and thinking about selling. Bet it would take about $3000 to buy new if they were allowed by CZ.....their custom work for individuals no longer allowed by CZ except for CZ/DW teams. I had a friend that's shot in competition that had all 9 rounds connected in the black and tried to buy it twice in next couple of months.

Loved the 38 Super due almost no recoil and flat shooter. Even my CCW is a DW Guardian 38 Super.

I am really more after the numbered Razorback's, but might be interested. I doubt my funds are such at the moment to buy both. If you want to P.M. me info, price, pics, etc I'd take a look at it. Where in MO are you from? I have a lot of family in S.W. corner.

Well I figured out PM I think, but can't tell if it went through. Maybe a CHEMO brain thing...one more treatment on 17 Oct to maybe have it beat (70% chance) even though tumor is gone.

Selling it has nothing to do with Cancer as I've considered it long before cancer, thanks to arthritis getting worse and now 74 and not the tough 6'5" 250lb man I was. The 10mm hasn't been shot in at least 3 or 4 years, but kept in rug and oiled instead of plastic box it came in. Also each have 3 sets of grips, factory, VZ for shooting and African Buffalo Horn. I no longer have used a picture site for several years, so any pic's would have to come by email or text when in cell range going into town.

I have about 1000 rounds of ammo for 10mm +/- 500 or so and a few are factory rounds I think, most are target type but all are in containers marked as to bullet brand, type, and weight, powder and weight, case brand name and times fired if any. Mostly new unfired Starline brass. Some of the loads are real hot for S&W 1006 which IMHO are much stronger then a 1911, other then weird Springfield 1911 built years ago similar to BHP but were 6" target and hunting guns and larger frame then 1911 best I remember. Wish I hadn't sold that Springfield.
