Did some fishing.

Recommended Posts

Wife and I got out first fishing trip in today and they were biting. I caught these three in a couple hours.

Nice trout, what were you using for bait?

Never heard of it, but then again I usually fish salt water. When I do fish fresh water, it's usually for bass, crappie, catfish and bluegills. Completely different technique from lake or stream trout. Were you using a fly rod?

That is some fine eating right there! I haven't caught or eaten any trout in the last...holy cow...23 years! Since I lived in Kern County, CA and fished up and down the Hwy 395 side of the Sierra Nevadas.

I've never enjoyed eating trout. Caught plenty of them in mountain lakes and streams but always throw them back. Bass, crappie, perch, and catfish... mmmm. I'm a southern fish eater at heart.

I make a mean glazed salmon. Honey, soy sauce, and lemon baked in the oven and it's amazing. It's like comparing baseball to football. I love them both.

I'm the same way. They are too bony for me. But the wife likes em so we kept a few.
