US Springfield Krag built in 1898 *sold pending funds*

Recommended Posts

I have here beautiful US Krag Jorgenson rifle still chambered in 30-40 Krag that has been sporterized with a amazing high grade blue finish. It was built off a carbine and has not been cut down so it can go back to original specs. here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

This is a 81000 serial number so it puts it manufacture year of 1898 makeing this gun 117 years old and is still a shooter!!! These are only getting more expensive since only 500k were made, so don't miss out on a old piece of american history.

Looks like just the stock. Perhaps sites were changed but difficult to tell.

I'll check out my Krag references when I get home from work. The sight doesn't look right to me.

This one may be an NRA cut down. Carbine serial numbers were 82,472-87,498 on the 1896 Krag. Lot's of them were sporterized when they were sold though the NRA in the early 20th century. Nice looking gun though.

Damn, if I didn't already have a Krag, I'd be all over that.
