What can I say, I come from the land of the ice and snow.

You know what bud? I think -24 is God's way of saying, "Move south". Not, "Go fishing..."

:cold: it got as cold as -35 over the weekend at the cabin... I don't have indoor plumbing so getting up at 2 am to pee is a survival adventure in it self..

Here in Louisiana, we call those jack fish. If we catch one of those we kill it and throw it back for the turtles to eat. They kill all the good fish.

Yea, we call them snakes and release unless there real big. Northern are good eating if you get the Y bone out or pickle them..

Trust me on this, there's no northern in Louisiana. We use to hunt of "Blue Holes" *artesian water" just to find water cold enough to swim in. Pike and Ghar, two different fish.

Closest we have here in TN to Walleye is Soggar and then below a deep water damn.

Walleye btw, damn fine white meat eating.
